The forums are 18+ because when the game ships it will ship with a Mature rating. Might as well set the forums up now to match what the games going to be when it releases.

Any word on why it will recieve an M rating other than language and storyline? Seems a little extreme to add M ratings to games when they don't have sexual themes and gore.

I'd say because of the amount of violence and gore. You can hit and kill people/monsters with your car! Also if I recall the videos correctly there's some blood splattered too. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't feel like redownloading the preview videos.
