I have a GTS 250, I've tried asking around on specified forums, but no one seems to give the posts a second thought so I moved here. I've decided to compile all my questions about these games and my card into one thread. My question: Will I be able to play FFXIV, GW2, Tera, and/or Rift well with a GTS 250 graphics card? My main concern right now, since it is the closest release of the four is Final Fantasy 14. Will I be able to play these games, and what settings would you recommend I use for them? High, Med-High, Medium, Med-low, or Low? I've played games with FPS as low as 30, since I can't honestly tell a difference of 30 and 60 FPS, but my preferred FPS would definitely be around 40. Plan to play with 1920x1080, but most likely will play with 1280x720 resolution.

What resolution do you plan on playing these games?
1920x1080 would be nice. Am I asking too much? :P
At that resolution you'll run fine with a GTS 250, barring crappy other components (e.g. less than 4GB RAM, etc.).

My crappy old card ran TERA max settings the last two FGTs, and it was a, 9800 GTX 256mb haha. I think you will be fine.
@ the OP: Run the FFXIV benchmark at the high setting and see what score you get.

Can You Run It < linky
This site provides a One-Click solution that looks at your computer's hardware and system software to determine whether or not your current system can run a product. Each of your computer's components is evaluated to see how well it meets the minimum and recommended requirements for specific products. Recommendations are made on how to update or upgrade each component which does not meet the listed requirements. Sometimes, a simple, free software download is all that is needed. Sometimes you'll find that you need a different video card to fully experience what the game has to offer.
that is odd... i got 3480 with a tricore 3.1ghz Phenom AMD and a 3850
Yes, you can run fine all those games. I hope your card has 1gb vram, its always nice to get more vram.
should not matter that much unless he is running a giant rez
Lol i got 573 with my 3yo computer. Guess I'm stuck with WOW.

On high?
It must be the extra computer core then.
I did the test again on high and got 2374.

On a lot of MMO's currently out there you are fine. But at that resolution you will have to downsize on graphical features. In upcomming MMO's this will become a lot more noticable.Age of conan in DX10 is basicly the best looking MMO out there right now and with that card in that resolution it would run at 10FPS and lower.I play AoC in DX10 @1680x1050 with a GTX260 with all DX10 settings enables (Execpt SSAO) and everything just about maxed and 8xaa and go as low as 20 FPS and max 40/45 FPS.If you want to be comfortable with current and upcomming games i would say get a upgrade.
