UPDATED* - Added Priest and Death Knights to the Guild Line-up.

UPDATED** - Changed Guild Site to an advertisement free site with a new look.

First off I understand this isn't going to be for everyones interest, but what we offer is at least a fresh take on a very tedious and boring badge grind and fail pugs that I am sure everyone is getting tired of at this point.

Project Judgement Information:

Guild Name: Project Judgement

Guild Goals: The goal of this guild is to go back to a simplier time in wow, back to the roots, we will try to do something unique in bringing a full functioning paladin order to a world of warcraft server. This idea is akin to building a new "order of the silver hand" in scope. As a guild will we raid vanilla wow content, Blackwing Lair and Molten Core mainly but others like ZG and AQ20 and 40 will also be done. We will attempt to bring back open world pvp by systematically raiding problems areas within the server ie. ganking spots and high traffic leveling areas. We will join BG's as a guild and work as a team to accomplish BG objectives. We will have an RP style guild structure though actual RPing within the guild will be left up to the individual.

Server Name: Archimonde

Server Ruleset: Normal PvP

Geographic Region: United States

Class Restrictions: Paladin, Priest, Death Knights

The Guild has decided to convert the guild from a paladin order to more of a Holy Order, now allowing priest to join. This opens up some much needed roles from within the guild like ranged dps, and group raid healing. Death Knights are also now accepted, as a Death Knight could be rped as a fallen paladin, many of the iconic Death Knights of wow were once Paladin Knights.

Guild Focus: The ideal goal for the guild is to get each paladin to level 60, and upon reaching level 60 the paladin will lock exp gain to remain 60. Once a paladin has reached sufficient level to raid BWL and MC, they will begin work on the Epic T2 "Judgement Armor" from Blackwing Lair. Paladins will also raid Molten Core for a [Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros] . Paladins can also choose to get the [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker].

There will be 2 types of Paladin within the guild.

Paladin Knights - These are the players who wish to lock at level 60 and play in the guild under the intended function and purpose.

Highlord Paladin Knights - These are players who wish to go beyond level 60 up to the current end game cap to use their paladin to benefit the guild as a whole by leveling new members, and helping to complete raids in a shorter time.

Players are not restricted to one or the other and can have 1 of each of they choose.

Players will also be given a choice to either PL through systematic dungeon leveling by the Highlord Paladins OR they can choose to do it the old fashion way and level up through quest and 5-man dungeons with guildies or pick-up groups. The choice is up to the individual, PLing will be availble to those who wish to get to the 60 cap as quickly as possible so they can lock and begin raiding, pvping, socializing.

Newly added!

Fallen Knights - These are level 60 locked Death Knights who will raid with the guild.

Darklord Fallen Knights - Level 80 Death Knights who help the guild with raiding or leveling of guild members.

AND

Forgotten Cleric - Level 60 locked priest/ess, who will raid with the guild. Name is derived from the forsaken, using their altered philosophy on the religion.

High Priest/ess - Level 80 priest/ess who will raid with the guild or help out with leveling of guild members.

Well that is the spill, if you are bored with how wow is currently going for you, and wish to just TRY something new and different, what do you have to lose. Drop by our official forums and introduce yourself. Let us know if you are intested in giving the guild a try and we will get you setup and on your way to being a level 60 paladin of greatness!

I like the RP aspect of the 'only paladins' thing, and besides druids, it is the only class that could pull it off.

But I have to remind you that old raids STILL have a lockout of one week.  Why does this matter?  because your guild will be disenchanting 75% of all the drops you get, even early in your progression.    This will have a huge negative impact on moral.  Also remember, Molten Core is long and exceedingly boring compared to today's dungeons and raids.

A lot of guilds that 'stop at 60' fail very quickly because of Molten Core even with no class restrictions.  Throw in the fact that gear upgrades will be very very slow.. and I think you are just going to have a lot of deserters.  Sorry to be so negative, but I tried this with a guild and it lasted 2 weeks before not enough tanks/healers showed up to raid and the guild fell apart.

How are you going to effectively engage in world PvP, when most of your enemies will be 20 levels above you, with attacks that can kill you in a single blow, and defenses that make them virtually invulnerable to your attacks?

Any worthwhile level 80 PvPer will be able to take you down 1 v 5.

    Whahahahahahahaha...............

(10 min later) you want to get back the vanilla wow feeling despite i dont play the game myself that COULD be a good idea..

but paladin restricted class? and adding deathknight is in discussion? LOL and this:

``Highlord Paladin Knights - These are players who wish to go beyond level 60 up to the current end game cap to use their paladin to benefit the guild as a whole by leveling new members, and helping to complete raids in a shorter time.``

so that means you have lvls 80s running with some lvl 60s to do it faster in vanilla raids/dungeons?

SO YOU EVEN WANT THE MAKE THE MORE EASIER!? you wow fanboys really ruin the heads of game developers they all now think easy = good!

you Ffaces get evri game ruined lol evrithing gets easier with evri single patch! even start looking at darkfall! i seriously find rollercoaster tycoon 1 even more difficult then all the mmorpgs out there...

Well to answer a few questions and they both kinda answer each other, we have level 80's in the guild. when we pvp it will be as a guild level 80 highlord paladins and the 60's.

About the gear progression. it isnt so much about how fast we gear up, just that we are playing together having fun. This guild was never intended for the "I want purple every week or I quit crowd". It is more for the "I play MMO's to relax and have fun crowd".

Also 60's can kill 80's. I used to do this many times on archimonde as a paladin. Some people just can't play wow very well.

About DEing 75% of the drops we get, well for an individualist outlook on wow, that might pose a problem, for a guild that is working as a team, it just means we have more guild funds to buy things with. If nothing else we will be a rich all paldin guild :)

    I like your attitude :)

I hope you guys succeed. If I had more time to play I would definitely join you!

If I had 20-40 devoted level 60 paladins to raid vanilla wow with I would, the reality is that more than likely this isn't going to happen, and at least not right now.

I can solo MC on my 80 paladin. As can every other 80 paladin in the guild. It doesn't hurt to let an 80 tank bosses so the 60's can heal and dps and experience the content on their quest to gain a full suit of judgement armor and a legendary weapon.

Yes it will be a long hard road, I understood this before I even took the time to write up a advertisement for the guild. Everyone has a predefined vision of how wow is suppose to be played. Level to 80, queue up for dungeon finder, get badges till your eyes bleed, get into guild to raid or pug raids, rinse and repeat every 7 days.

For people who cannot think outside of a box that blizzard has molded for them, this idea may seem pretty stupid. For those who know better, they will slowly make their way over to archimonde.

The guild is picking up people, we have picked up 3 in the last 2 days. I know this doesn't seem like alot atm, but at least some people think it is a worth while endeavor.

Just wanted to point out the new updates to the guild.

Priest and Death Knights are officially welcome inside the guild! Guild is growing nice and we hope it continues, if anyone has any questions please feel free to contact me on the PJ Forums or send me a PM here on MMORPG.com.

    Thanks!

Neat idea. Contrary to what some other posers said, the game does not have to be all about gear upgrades. And I personally enjoyed Molten Core more than any other dungeon that has come out after it.

Vault-Tec analysts have concluded that the odds of worldwide nuclear armaggeddon this decade are 17,143,762... to 1.

    Thanks Palebane!

Just wanted to add we changed over to a new website, the new image on the OP now links to that website instead, (needed one without all the clutter, plus I was told by a few members that Guild Portal was very laggy when they went there).

By the way we looted our first [Bindings of the Windseeker] last night in MC!

    Update!

Guild now has active ventrilo, revamped site, and events starting to go up on the calender.

We invite anyone who is bored with the current state of wow to drop by and say hello, never know you might find the fun in wow again!

I am sorry, but this is a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad idea.

Good luck enjoying the game your way, but I feel like this is exactly the wrong approach to raiding. There is a reason Blizzard stopped doing ridiculous stuff like 40-man raids.

"Gamers will no longer buy the argument that every MMO requires a subscription fee to offset server and bandwidth costs. It's not true — you know it, and they know it." —Jeff Strain, co-founder of ArenaNet, 2007

    WTF? No subscription fee?

I think this dude is totally wrong. As the OP's idea is imo, an awesome idea. My problem, is the fact that I won't pay for WoW, as the content has been dumbed down so much, the game lost it's flair. If it ever becomes similar to Vanilla WoW, I will surely join the game again. Until then, sorry Blizz, You won't get my sub.

Neonka, (Spelling?) Keep it up man. I think you has an awesome idea.

My understanding of your intent was to lock yourselves at lvl 60 and raid the 40 man dungeons and do some interesting things with world pvp using only 3 classes

The guild has 19 characters.  half of them are above lvl 60 already, and only 2 are at lvl 60.

So either the lvl 80's are going to carry the few lvl 60's through the level 60 raids, or else there is going to be a long wait to get enough to raid.

Don't really get how people say it has been dumbed down. The classes are far more complex than they were in vanilla. The boss encounters are far more scripted and technical. Even the graphics have been upgraded since vanilla. Sorry the game hasn't been dumbed down your just burnt out. Trust me I know. Personally I will never touch the game again.

A few fights are scripted harder and such. But what about how many fights are tank and spank, disguised by a few move here, jump there, if you're lucky coordinate something to stop the mob from doing something.

I want more fights like Domo, where you had a metric shit ton going on, and you had to pay attention. Or even better, AQ40 C'thun! I remember my guild going into AQ40 every week and having one hell of a time, whether it be killing, or progressing (Wiping hard for hours) yet we had fun. BC content wasn't bad, but by no means was it great either. Then along came the end of BC, lots of whining happened, and lots changed. PvP'ers crying because they couldn't get easy gear, likewise for PvEers.

The game is in a downward spiral imo, instant gratification, no more rep grinding to be capable of doing things and the like. I want it hard again.

  • neonakaneonaka Member UncommonPosts: 779

I understand some peoples concerns, this is what we have right now.

5 people with level 80's paladins, death knights and priest.

We use these characters to gear up the level 60's though they do participate in the fights.

We have 3 right now that have leveled up high enough to participate in MC and later this week those 3 will reach 55 for BWL.

We have 5 in the process of leveling up to 60. The guilds 80's take the time to help them quest and PL in dungeons like SM and ZF to get them up to the 55 level req for the dungeons, though since all 7 of these players rerolled from other servers this takes time.

I knew and understood from the get go that this guild would take time to develope. Everyone who came here from others servers all have the same mentality which is "The benefit of the guild as a whole is far more important than individual gain".

Those players who haven't even reached 60 themselves yet are backtracking to help those who need it to catch up.

For those who think this will fail and is a horrible idea, well you are entitled to think so, however I take the guild survival very serious and will not let the idea go or fail that easily.

That being said, those who have rerolled have also expressed they would not have abandoned 80's on other servers without the belief that we could make this succeed. The guild is fine and holding steady. Once we prove that we can do what we say we can do, and get members to 60 and equipped with full suits of T2 for Battleground and World PvP we hope others will take note and try us out.

We are on our third week of BWL and MC Clears. Our first 60 priest is working on her Eye of Divinity to allow her to finish the quest for benediction. We as a guild farmed her the Eye of shadow. She has also already gotten 2 of the 8 pieces of her T2 set from BWL.

Starting tomorrow the first 2 paladins will join her in BWL for the new clear this week. So we are capable as a guild right now to down all the bosses we need to make the guild focus succeed, and if we pick up more members then fantastic! If we do not well that will be unfortunate, but for those of us in the guild, we are few but dedicated and will make it work no matter what the cost :)
