I had to copy the link and put it in a new window to get it to work. Thanks for the link! I was hoping that there would be more character custimization than GW1, after seeing this I know there will be (eventhough it was disabled).
I do hope they will add a whole bunch of questions, about the background and the emotional character of your character...XD (i mean, its great and all that they actually do ask some already...^.^; but more is always welcome!)
But that aside they should take the appearance options from aion (options!, not the style!). now that would be really cool..=0, instead of just being able to choose from some basic faces...>.< (and yeah, thats what it looks like right now. But i hope they won't! Really, really do)
It's kinda cruel to kill the innocent monsters standing in the fields picking daisies. -GW2-
It shows that the characterlook customisation isnt included yet, so I dont find it really that interesting. Looks more like a placeholder so ppl can chose a class for the demo gameplay session.
They said for the demos at the Gamescom they've simplified the character customisation process (as the character screen also states), because they wanted to get the players quick into the action instead of being busy 15 min with character creation. Character customisation as it is seen in the demo isn't as it will be at launch.
The ease with which predictions are made on these forums: Fratman: "I'm saying Spring 2012 at the earliest [for TOR release]. Anyone still clinging to 2011 is deluding themself at this point."

ofcours, ofcours....but at the sideline of the charcreation you see examples of faces you will be able to choose from in the official game, and i just hope we will be able to costumize them in detail. it's just awsome to have a char you have created, without standards (if you follow me.)
anyway, the gameplay is obviously the most important aspect of a game, and i'm starting to like this one a lot from what i heard so i was getting enthousiastic. XD, oh, and greedy....XD

Apparently from that video you can make your character come from a wealthy background in a castle, or a prostitute on the streets. Whichever origin you pick will affect your character directly in-game. For instance, wealthy origins will receive more gold per monster kill and starting gold. Prostitutes will have high endurance and stamina.

Lol, classic. You are right about the having an effect, although not the effect you describe of course.
I love the concept art playing a role in this. The race choosing part is awesomeness. Then the way the choice of sex comes up. The questions are awesome. It is like writing a book withought the writing. One question though.....
WHY DIDN'T THE FOOL CHOOSE NECROMANCER! NECRO FTW!

Lol. This makes me think of those players in MMO's that flirt with you if your toon is nicelooking and really like to receive gifts. The ones that insist on telling you that they are a woman, eventhough you never asked about that I kind of find the prostitute background fitting for them
Because I'm a geek here's all the human ele options. Doesn't sound like much, wonder if there are/will be more questions or if they are leaving space for you to create your own by not going for too much?
I am a Human Elementalist and this is my story.
I study all the elements, but I wear a circlet that symbolises my love of....
Water
Earth
Air Fire
Trouble may follow me, but I use my ........ to overcome it
Charm
Dignity
Ferocity
I was raised ......................'
By Common Folk
Among The Nobility
In The streets
One of my biggest regrets is that ..............'
I've never searched for my true parents
I never recovered my sister's body
I passed up an opportunity to perform in the circus
Everyone said I was blessed by ...... when I was young

There is a screen which tells that the ability to change the way our chars looks is disabled right now. (propably still work in progress)
Ok its working now, thanks for the tip. Character customisation looks different and interesting.

Hmmm.....
A hopefully great thing I noticed...possibly NOT having two names and/or names with numbers?
Sweet!!

One thing this video does show is four of the Professions . Warrior , Ranger , Elementalist & NECROMANCER .

Awesome system, remeinds me of an all time favourite of mine : Daggerfall....
Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)
