I can just say ... wow! If they can deliver most of it, I would be impressed!

Now we will get more different types of mobs in all those coming 3 patches. :)

  • RohnRohn Member UncommonPosts: 3,730

Very good, solid set of improvements.

A patch that focuses on bugfixing is a good start.

New creatures will be a welcome addition, and appears in all the tentative patches.  And a new dungeon, too.

    Fishing, alchemy, craftable mount gear.

    All very nice.

What remains to see is how much will those new features break the game...

  • Panther2103Panther2103 Member EpicPosts: 5,779

Awesome list. Hopefully they implement it all on time.

None of that will bring new players in, it will only make Guilds more happy.

    Guild keeps

    Guild banners

    Guild Alarms

    Guild Stones

    Guild Chat

    Guild Taxes

    Guild this

    Guild that

Nothing in this game to hold a single players interest, other than sight seeing and learning the game. The chat box is horrid, the text above people's head is the most anti-roleplaying text you can find.

The developers are more inteterested in providing those who are in a guild, with a pleasent experience. But, those individual's who come from the oldschool MMO's, to check the game out can't, nor won't be treated the same.

I have a guild of just over 400 people. 3 of us beta tested and played & none of us can recommend this game to any of our oldschool guildmates, because the game is not predicated on the individual character builds, or roles...  but on guilds & their needs.

Siegcraft & land control, before poison & herbalism? Or, before being to fletch your own arrows? (play UO for 2 days, anything you did in 2 days should already be in MO, it isn't..  but Guild Keeps are.)

    Truely sad!

"No they are not charity. That is where the whales come in. (I play for free. Whales pays.) Devs get a business. That is how it works."

a game Pvp based needs lots of pvp incentives.

Fishing, alchemy, craftable mount gear, horse weapons,  armors and crossbows isnt for guilds only

I agree with you, but others have strongly argued that Mortal is NOT a PvP based game.

Oh Im quite sure some of those new features will break some other old feature.

Im also quite sure that some of those listed features wont make it in or if they do will be really lame (see: Banners)

However, I know things will get fixed and the game will improve.

Indeed.  New creatures being added each week, along with an epic mob and new dungeon.  More crafting.  Fishing.  That's just in the next few weeks (hopefully).

A lot of people grossly overexaggerate the supposed focus on guilds and PvP.  Still, I will agree that Mortal Online has stronger social requirements than most current MMOs, as is often the case with sandbox games.  In that regard, it's wise for the player to figure out what game is best going to fit their mindset and playstyle - they aren't all the same, which is a good thing.

Yes MO has content for guilded players because obviously that draws in a larger more sociable audience, you need to interact with players to do well in Mortal or have multiple accounts. The entire point of MMO's, playing with others.

    Correct!

Mortal Online was billed as a MMORPG. Which as you may know has PvP, but is not the point of, nor the focus of the game. Just one part of it. Problem is/was, that too many Darkfall'ites came over and thought it was going to be another zerg pvp game and the Developers started to listen to those kids.

It is not what people want. They want their skills and abilities to be worhtwhile. Why all the focus on guild horses? Some people don't even bother with horse riding skill.. but opted for swimming, or something else comepltely. So why is Henrik (once again) focusing on things that is predominatly a guild's focus?

Diving for pearls? Wasn't thnat a book? Where are the pearls? Why focus on guild thingss, when there are no pearls for solo people to make an income off, diving for?

Because Henrik's focus is on the guilds. So many players have left because of this. And people talk, many in my EQ guild (over 400) were excited, but I told them to forget it. This game needs until next spring before it will have dungeons, content and single player interests.

This is exactly what the player want ingame. But what do you know, you don't even play the game. Solo player and guilds wants more different creep to kill. It's good to see SV is about to add all this into the game.

PS: Why do you always feel you need to write with large/bold letters?

  • thorppesthorppes Member Posts: 452

Yes because no one not in a guild wanted horse armour and saddels to be implemented. I am sorry if they don't implemented every feature you want when you want but the majority of the player base is happy.

Or whatever. But you get my point that once again SV focus is on GUILDS. Not individual politics, or skills.

Yes MO has features for Guilds, Guilds can influence the way the world shapes. Solo players can do well for themselves but like real life groups of like minded people accomplise more and faster.

As for the horses. Saddles and Armour for horses ARE NOT A DAMN GUILD FEATURE. Dayum.
