Server up/down question

in Everquest II
Is there site where I can check the status of the server I am on? My server is currently not runnig, but I would like to know why.
And how is it that I cannot choose another server even when I am starting the game in the character creation/selection screen (with creation I have the option to choose a server)?
It sucks when the server is down, haven't got alday to play so when I have time I would like to know when they are planning to work on the servers (if that is what they are doing then)

Yea, just look on your Launchpad when your run the game, tells you there.
Also, remember they have to reboot the servers every morning atm until they refine the resource control issues with all the instanced zones. They say they are really close to getting them down so they won't have to do the daily reboots!

It does show it on the startup screen, but it takes a few minutes for that startup screen to get updated. The startup screen will tell you what is down, but not right away when stuff gets downed.
