What to do till release..

Lord.BachusLord.Bachus Member RarePosts: 9,686

So more then a half year left till release... I have seen all vids and have enough information to know i will be playing from release date.

But now..... what else to do till then.........

1. Finally make level 80 in WoW with my recently started now level 70 Shaman. (Never had a level 80 in WoW, but several 60 and 70 chars when that was max level) And enjoy Cataclysme after that.

2. Play LOTRO, start a new character at 10 September on F2P and finally make max level, i never got past level 45 and want to experience Moria and Mirkwood and all other epic books. Allways loved the srories and scenery

3. Play EQ2 F2P, start a new character and enjoy the world, maybe even make max level. Played from release about a month then left for 2 years and then leveled  aNEcromancer to 55, can't remember why i left the game, but probably for another new release.

4. Buy FF XIV and enjoy this new game..

I prefer leveling a character and discover the world above being forced intoo a harsh and demanding endgame.

So i need to make a choice............

But what are your plans while wayting on GW2 ?

Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

Thought I'd play AoC until GW2 came out, but I haven't been inspired to log in after taking a Khitan Assassin to a mere level 20.

Tempted to go back into WAR as I loved the game despite the obvious shortcomings. It gave me my PvP fix and could be done in short bursts of time.

I'm really, as in REALLY, enjoying CoH: Going Rogue. You can see that they've got some great talent in mission and world design now.

Fantasy Earth Zero's my free to play guilty pleasure at the moment. I'm not particularly good at it, but I've just started and I like the PvP system a lot.

Got quite a few console games I got to get through too. Multiplayer for Read Dead Redemption is quite epic.

I kill other players because they're smarter than AI, sometimes.

Play Sim City 4. That game is "hella" fun.

in all honesty i have no idea =/

i bought the lifetime sub to LOTRO when it was on offer from codemasters a few months back.. after getting to about level 55 the game is just getting boring..

waiting for FFXIV atm i guess, come on anet release GW2 already xD

Edit: i am tempted to try out CoH going rogue but i always found the game a little dull to play solo and none of my friends want to play

They haven't gone in specifics about this yet, but they said it was only going to be cosmetic stuff(like minipets in GWI)

I thought they said there were some special weapons or armor or something that would transfer....

They haven't mentioned anything of the sort.

As far as the original topic, I'm not sure what I'll do. I still play Guild Wars occasionally but not that much. I haven't been playing any other mmo for a while now. I might just stick to some single player games and the occasional login to GW.

Starcraft 2, Torchlight, Borderlands, Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age and Fallout New Vegas just to name a few games that you can play until GW2.

There is little you can play for whole 6 months until GW2 launches.

I can only recomend you BFBC2 , its a sure hit for everyone. After that...depends what rocks your boat ? RTS,RPG,FPS ?

Take a break from MMO's??!! What?!!

Pocket Legends on my iPhone is great for a very casual mmo fix (free up to lvl 13 then v cheap thereafter)

I tried Runescape and it's impressive for what it is, have to say. Very slow pace is a good change, but it set me thinking about modern MMO's what they have actually brought to the table up from this more basic but more general mmo experience...

Due out in March, this game (spg) is a real treat in store also, check it out, it's very SANDBOXY: FROM DUST:

Hah, and I thought I was facing a rough time waiting for FFXIV, which is a month away. I'm saving my money and looking for a job, but I still need an mmo fix of some sort. Starcraft II isn't enough on my own, its great with my friends though. Was playing Fable II, but I get bored of that quickly. Started to look for some free trials and ftp mmorpgs but nothing yet.

i tried doing that, sometimes i return to do some more.

dont like the grind so some of them were out of the window. the hard-mode missions were very good, not many people were around so tried them with npcs mostly. i think anyone who thinks a game without grind is walk through the park should give those missions a try.

    I need more vespene gas.

Playing Borderlands ATM, but come this fall will be diving back into GW to take my monk through GWEN. I've been away for quite sometime now so the return will be fun, especially  anticipation of GW2.

if only mass effect 3 would release... But unfortunately we dont have any screenshots/trailers or anything of the sort yet, so i guess Bioware is fully focused of SW:Tor... No ME3 till 2013-2014 i suppose :(

I assume what every GW2 fanboi will be doing....denigrating SW:TOR and any other release that is not GW2 and attacking anyone who says sometihng not 100% in agreement to our faith!!!

Of course I could easily say this about any fanboi of anything....and probably will!!!!What I will do till I cna judge GW2 personally for myself is....get on with life as usual.

I'll be playing Fable III when October comes and until then I'm going to start playing Battlefield 2 again with some old clanmates.  Might fire up 2142 when the patch comes out.
