I was just reading some threads and just realized that there were many threads about best pvp mmorpg on-line games.
Of course what I thought about PVP means player vs player or a single player vs single player only.
Now, how about a team vs team or Guild vs Guild mmorpg games. ^_^ what do you think?
Can you name some games where you experienced good and quality Guild vs Guild games? ^_^

If you want fair competition based GvG, try Guild Wars. Unless you want open world PVP, then you should look somewhere else. But I think that Guild Wars has the most balanced group vs group PVP.
You can try world of warcraft. it' about guild wars.

I'm assuming you mean current mmos...
For guild vs guild, hands down EVE offers the greatest scope and utilization of tactics.
After that, prolly GW, Darkfall.
WAR wasted all the potential it had.
"Come and have a look at what you could have won."
There aren't many threads about it, because there really isn't a debate. Nothing can even come close to EVE. The only game that's really even in the same universe of EVE is Darkfall, but it still doesn't even come close.
Guild Wars is alot like TF2 & Halo. It's completely over-hyped junk. (GW2 is looking pretty nice though)

Dark Age of Comelot.... in it's day had some of the best all-around, guild activity going on...
There were evening where 3, or 4 different battles were going on... unrelated to each other. It was fun to move your guild undetected into another Guilds territory and just wait... for the right moment to attack.
Dartkfall was more like mortal Combat, or Counterstrike... it was really anythying guild related, as those games really don't have guilds, just clans and "vent clubs" who liked to log on and run around and gank people. Not the same as 200 vs 200 keep battles that took forward planning.... as opposed to the trivial twitch-skills found in counterstrike/Battlefield knife fighting..

I was trying to browse and look where to register in eve online. However, i came accross Aika Global, it seems that they are going to have a CBT. Hmm what do you think of this game guys? Will it be worth it? I saw their website, they have this 1000vs1000.
Aika is pretty good for a F2P, however it's a HUGE grinder. The pvp is fun though, when your nation is trying to take relics.
Other games with fun pvp experiences:
Guild Wars - Still fun, join a guild do team battles or an alliance. This game has smaller scale pvp (i think max is around 30 players) but it's still a lot of fun.
WoW (not my favorite for pvp, but it does have it's moments)
Warhammer (similar to Aika, very grindy at times, but when the pvp is going it's a lot of fun. Game is suffering with subscriptions atm, though there are a couple servers that are fairly active)
Global Agenda (if you like shooters, it's a fun shooter MMO for the pvp. Getting into an Agency isn't hard, but the big PvP stuff isn't until rank 30+. Getting from 20-30 can be a bit of a grind though =/)
That's all I can really think of atm. There are some games that used to have good pvp, but I wouldn't recommend them anymore.
Faction vs Faction is simply the most fun of all formats of PvP.

Thanks to denial, I'd have to say LOTRO pvmp can't be beat.
Hedonismbot: Your latest performance was as delectable as dipping my bottom over and over into a bath of the silkiest oils and creams.
Asherons call 2 had the best pvp GvG imo. When you broke down the 3 factions and had a all out war. I remember the many hours in Palidades.

I haven't played Aika, but apart from that I agree with all of these choices. My favorite PvP to date is Global Agenda. If you play fairly heavily you can get from 1 to 30 in about a week or so. Afterwards, the 30 - 50 grind is crazy, but if you're there for PvP you shouldn't be worrying so much about levels as you're on fair footing pretty much the whole way through.
Guild Wars is also a very good arena based game. Putting together your skill deck is nice, but to get all the skills without buying all the expansions (if you're just going to PvP) you'll need to spend some cash in the cash shop, or buy all the games and run through them for all the skills.
WAR had some of the best RvR experiences I've ever had.... up to T3.. and that was very early on when balance was crazy. The scenarios were extremely fun, and the classes were interesting. I'd definitely get into the trial for that one.
I also like Fallen Earths PvP, especially the open world PvP. It is also shooter-esque but you have tons more skills to choose from and lots of interesting build options. Not sure how populated the PvP areas are though, most PvP content caters to the higher levels, so you'd have to fight your way through for quite a bit before you could be considered a contender.
