battle regimans= incentive to play in groups

Battle regimans are similar t skillchains in ffxi but they are done a bit differently and give you a hug xp and skill point boost if you pull tgem off based on how many people are in a group! I did 2 5 man leve groups 2 nights ago and i can tell you guys that i got atleast 13 % more then i would have solo per kill when we pulled off a battle regiman.

I would say that alot of people who say there isnt much incentive to play in groups have not done battle regimens yet, and i can understand because there isnt much written on how to pull them off, but trust when you do, there wont be much need to worry abotu incentives.

Most probably because people are mostly soloing ( in a game intended for grouponf...) & don't bother to try & learn anything. Nah, bitching & moaning is so much easier eh..

They just wait for it to be pre-chewed, pre-digested, by other players & thyen leech off the info... sad really.

They effect the exp given by a mob?

Usually skill chains/group combo's go ignored in mmo's, players just can't coordinate that well unless they're on vent/play with friends or family. It would be nice to reward groups who can pull them off though.

Tested this in a 3 man group.  Does appear to be some benefit to EXP gain (EXP was better split between members than normal), BUT solo is still more per kill.  I'm guessing the OP was comparing a solo kill outside a leve to a group kill in one.  There is something like a 4-5X EXP bonus while doing a leve.

Sounds fun. Is there functionality in place that will act similar to Magic Bursts ? (ie. Will mages be able to contribute to the chain via spells? or is it purely weapon skills?)

well it doesnt work like skill chains though. Here is how it works:

    somone activates the Battle regiman.

They choose an action to use in teh skill.

Then all players one by one follow suite. after that, the first player activates the  battle regimen by using teh skill and all othe rplayers follow suit again pressing there repective skills

. huge damage bonuses and debuffs take place if you get them right.

even if you dont kill teh mob with it, you still get a large xp and skill point bonus.

Again, i tried this with a 5 man team. Im not sure what you get with a lower amount but i know you will get more exp then solo play with a 5 man team. Very nice set up.
