In the MMORPG.com staff blog, Bill Murphy discusses Realtime Worlds developers who had come from the Crackdown series and whether or not it might have been wiser (or cooler) to have made APB more Crackdown-esque. Read Bill's thoughts and then add your own on our forums.
One reason the Crackdown games are so fun is because of their online component. Playing around in such a large area with friends, tossing trucks into pedestrians, jumping over buildings, laying down mines and then watching the havoc unfold… Crackdown might be a little shallow, but it’s not short on fun when it comes to multiplayer. Now imagine that the best of the multiplayer action from both Crackdown and APB were merged. Massive superhuman warfare between two opposing sides on a large scale in a city that’s ripe for the climbing, jumping, throwing fun that RTW’s freshman offering gave us.

They did. Whatever talent they had, left and formed Ruffian Games to develop Crackdown 2.
They sure as shit didn't have anyone with talent work on APB.

The game has a GREAT consept
In APB, has a great concept, I think they did too much all at once. Then we have the idiot's on the fence, that talk crap on this game and any others. But what do we care, on your opinion. Like the guy who say's x-box sucks. Try telling us why x-box suck's.
