it take around 1 hour to be level 10... so you judge a game in 1 hour,

i judge you in 1 minute, and its more attention than you deserve.

I played this game till level 55 and i cant wait for open beta tonight,

it has a very fun and balanced pvp system,

    diverses and fun instances,

and till lv55 at least you get 90% of your exp from quests, not grind.

Add to this plenty of daily or weexly event, and maybe you will understand why this game hooked me like no one before

mm the only drawback i saw in this game is the time it take to achieve anything, but if you can go past the grind this game is one of the best out there.but its not for everybody !has the thing say here ,it does say historical so if you dont like role playing style game pass this game but if you are a guy that did reach end game in games like l2 or silkroad online then i bet you will love this game!as for customisation it will be lunched or was lunched in the store!like all f2p game!

"to be completely honest, this game sucks." - Er dude it is called

    Heroes of Three Kingdoms

Duh! Of course it is going to suck. Just look at the title - it says "I am a shitty point and clicky level based, kill x, fetch y based fantasy MMO". Why did you even bother?

by the way .it seems player of this game are mostly playing between server 3 to 14.

  • baldernonobaldernono Member UncommonPosts: 96

That game is playable. It is not bad. I have a lv40 character. At the moment you can level easily with quest.

    PROS :

    - The auto pathing is very good

    - The WASD + attack mode (that i called EQ style, "too far from mob you don't hit") is better to me for pvp and shows player abilities because player can move like FPS game

    - I did not see any gold spammer yet (it is true and remarquable) like others F2P

    CONS :

    - Quest : like every game of Perfectworld as developpers (Ethersaga, JadeDinasty,Perfectworld) quests system is the same. Same quest log, same quest item you dont want to destroy that make you full bag

    - Zones are little small to me even there are many channel (12)

    - Same Perfecworld 3D engine with only better texture.

    - More action (for not saying pvp) oriented than classic tank, healer, dps group. And i like classic ^_^

This would be including the Asia market, right?  As far as western markets go Aion is probably above AoC and WAR but still behind Lotro, EVE, and probably EQ2.

I'm not a big fan of Trollin'...  especially free games (you get what you pay for), but i do have to giggle a little bit at this game.   I loaded this onto my 9-y-o son's computer.   He's easily entertained (Club Penguin, anyone?)    As we're fighting the initial monkeys, he turns to me and says "This is boring".

Hard to disagree.  I think Allods is a more entertaining F2P choice, atm.

I'd love to see some fine tuning on this one, as I don't think anyone has done this genre justice.   Still has potential...

It's funny how most people saying this game sucks obviously never made it past the starting zone.. If i judged every MMO by it's starting zone then each one would suck, cuz eventually starting zones boil down to fetch and catch quests or slow introduction to the game mechanics.. Almost every MMO follows that basic concept.. IDK maybe i've played more MMO's then most players and have to come to terms with this and that's why i actually gave this game a shot even after the initial few hours..

So far it's been pretty fun.. The usual quests just with better writing.. This is actually one of the first F2P mmo's that i've played for more then the first week.. The main thing i love about it is that the cash shop in no way makes or breaks the game, and is not even really needed if you don't want to use it.. Ofcourse, if you do wanna change up you're fashion or select the few armor peices and pay $$ for it you can, but it isn't gonna put you that ahead of the competition, especially when people get to crafting uber end-game gear.

Another thing about this is game is all the mechanics.. There's so much stuff here that i havent seen in any other MMO's.. The first thing i'd mention is the class/weapon system..  All the classes are pretty unique, you won't find you're usually tank and spank here.. There's healers/tanks/rouges/rangers but there's also unique clases like hookswords/glaives/gauntlets/scepters/ect (with new classes being implemented soon.) You can mix-match you're classes, i plan on going Talon(rouge)+Glaive for a gg talon with high crit %.. Each class has a speciality tree (simular to WoW) that you can level up, includeing the sub-class you decide to take on.. There's also skills in mounted pvp that you can level up (yes theres mounted pvp.) There's tons of different currency to earn and collect.. There's just a lot to this game that you won't find out until around lvl 15-20, as it is with most MMO's..

But yeah, the main draw for everyone it seems is the pvp.. Which i guess is some kinda player-ran tomb raid where you take out the other players towers and try to take their keep from them, or something along those lines.. It looks fun and i cant wait to get to that part of the game, everyone in my legion really enjoys the pvp so far.

Not totally on the topic but people keep saying Korean game, Korean game.  PWE is a Chinese company so it is a Chinese game, yeah the style might as well be Korean though in most of their games I grant.

This isn't a fantasy game or story.  The Romance of the Three Kingdoms is a huge book with 1000s of characters the vast majority of which were historical.  So even if you don't like that there is a Xiang Ying and a Xiang Ping they both likely existed :P

As someone who is a fan of the Three Kingdoms games I enjoyed seeing some of the characters and areas in an MMO setting.  I don't think the game is all that bad as free to play games go.  It also does really teach a lot of the rumors, stories, lore to do with this period in China's history.

I don't currently play it much but that is more to do with it not really fitting my exact mood than anything else.  Also am not saying the game doesn't have CONs.  It definitely does but I think it is far more polished and nice than the average f2p coming out nowadays and you can learn some history, that is different than most games that teach you nothing :)

I think mostly everyone knows that this game is pretty pvp-ortientated.. The whole reason everyone is grinding the quests (and imo why the pve is so easy) is so you hit 60 and start participateing in state wars and such..

No you can pk people off diff factions after 40 still.. you'll lose 1%xp each death i think.. but if the player continously does so to you or other players they get red named in which if they get pk'd the person who pk'd them gets to keep their gear (or i think thats how it works.) So a lot of pk'ers jus go after red named pk'ers so they can pk and get their gear..

And if i ever get pk'd i jus switch realms (1-14) and go about my buisness.. it's never been a problem for me.. but this game relys HEAVILY on pvp after 40 so if thats not you're cup of tea i suggest a different game.. The end game consists of legions fighting over other legion ran forts/cities and factions vrs faction tomb battles.

I'm an x 5 year DAOC vet..so pvp is not new or unwanted. But faction pvp...having a side..having a realm to be part of is what i want.I s that waht this game offers ?

Same old?  Lets what this game's PvP has:

3 factions - some games do that but most are usually only 2

Territory control - yeah some do it, but its still fairly unique in MMOs

Mounted combat - again in some games, but definately not "same old"

If by same old, you mean being ganked by other players, I've seen hardly any of that taking place.  I'm 61 and have only been attacked a few times other than at PvP events.  Also, I thought it was pretty clear the game was advertised as a PvP focused game, so I'm not really sure how you missed that.

PWI is cash shop orientated but you sort of have to be in order to make any money. Should they invest tons of money into a game just so you can play for free (and still complain about, no doubt)?

Besides there is a setting to automatically face the enemy.

HotK is going to be released in my country, but the introducrion said:

The game features unique 5v5 PvP gameplay reminiscent of the super-popular Warcraft III mod Defense of the Ancients or DotA. As players take part in these 3D DotA style matches they can choose from a wide variety of heroes to transform into, heroes that span entirely different eras and time periods, such as Dracula or even King Arthur.

    Background story:

The dreaded Cao Cao has been moving to crush his enemies and conquer the region in one fell swoop. His men suffered a devastating assault at the hands of Liu Bei's forces. With his stratagems falling to pieces, Cao Cao turned to dark magic. He at last gave his court sorcerer permission to work great and terrible magics, to twist the world to better suit his ambitions. The sorcerer and his acolytes carried out a massive ritual in the capital, rending the barriers between worlds. The battlefield is now awash with powerful demons and strangers from distant lands and times. While Cao Cao's kingdom has gained new and powerful allies, so have their enemies. The war yet rages on, with no end in sight.

It looks like feature from Legendary Chanpions (LC). Can someone confirm me that HotK have the above feature too? If HotK have the same feature, what is the different with LC, except from different developer? Because HotK got better ratings here than LC, i'm just wondering who clone who...

I don't remember there being anything like that last I played.  There are lots of minigames/scenarios though, so that might just be a scenario I hadn't played.
