Quick questions for a returning vet

Hi all, Im currently inbetween games and need just alittle bit of clarification on how the game is now. Im sure its been mentioned but any imput would be great.
1. Hows grind? I know its been stated but I dont know much about the updates and how it affected it.
2. Least played class or crappiest? I played a lvl 36 sm and I was never really wanted for groups, is it still the same and are SM's least played?
3. Gold spammers, for the love of everything holy I couldnt find a group to group with due to chat being overrun by gold sellers. Is it still the same?
4. Economy , I remember it was a pain to get higher lvl gear in the AH due to crap being so overpriced, is it still the same?
5. PvE I never really enjoyed the abyss can you get away with PVE throughout the game till 50 where u can actually do something?

1. Until 7 sept (patch 2.0) on the na servers it's double xp; with 1.9 you can have a boost of 30% xp if you are not lvl fast, and you can always have the 40% boost depending how often you log on. (oh, and 20% more exp from lodas amulets)
2. I play an SM too (lvl34) and I don't have problems finding groups, I am whispered very often by random ppl to join their group. I think people want SM in pve mainly for their Spirit erosion skill(they all hope for better drops). Also, the servers were merged so there is a higher population and with 1.9 they had added a LFG window so you can just post once you need a group and you will be in queue until you find one.
3. There were almost none a few weeks ago but since the merge there are so many. (hope they get rid of them soon).
4. Everything is expensive, you can never have enough Kinah in this game, however things are cheaper in general; the fluxes(or some fluxes) got way cheaper so you can craft more. (ex. a gold piece lvl 33 is between 1-4 mil depending on the piece). You can also get some gold armor or weps from daily quests, until you find something better. I think it's not too bad now.
5. I am not lvl 50 so I don't know. I did mostly pve until now too and I increase without wanting but then again I'm not focusing on racing to lvl 50 and I don't know how is later on. The server balance is ...well there is none right now(it's slowly getting better, way better) and because of this you might get ganked often. Btw, you can do pve in the abyss too, the mobs(or some) there seem to have higher drop rates.
