I honestly don't see why everyone is complaining about the keyboard and mouse controls. In my opinion, sure it was a little hard to get used to and could be frustrating at times trying to figure out exactly how it played out. But it was also, honestly, really easy to get used to at the same time. After a couple hours of playing I found myself knowing exactly how to control the camera, UI, character, ect.
There's not much really to say about it in this thread but I believe some people might just be to used to the typical keyboard and mouse controls of WoW, EQ2 and all that. I mean a little change doesn't hurt. Just play around in the game for a little bit and you'll find yourself having no problems with the keyboard and mouse.
However, this is just my opinion really. If you'd like to state exactly why you dislike the controls then be my guest and make a legitimate argument.
Edit: I also forgot to add that I only played in Beta Phase 2, so I have no idea how the controls are now in Beta Phase 3.

Isn't there a software mouse only , It means the mouse moves sluggish ??
The Keyboard is fine, minus the fact you can't customize it.
The mouse is slow and annoying.
Before Beta 3 the mouse camera function was useless. Now it is fine.
The mouse pointer is still sluggish though, making it difficult to click anything.
During developement all games are sandboxes. At release they all become theme parks.
I agree with OP..... Its very easy to pick up and play no problems here. Im 30 years old been gaming since I was 5. Give me a game I will figure out how to play it if the game is cool enought. For the "its a mmo play like a mmo" crowd.. Get over it... just because WOW and EQ set a standard in controls DOES NOT mean every mmo is obligated to use the same control system. For cryn out loud learn how to do something else its 2010. With alot of newer mmos kind of sucking and alot of people claiming there the same old thing, did it ever cross anyones mind that it might start all the way to the same boaring controls that have been in mmos since the 90's.. Of course a genre of game gets boaring if you have been controling your avatar the same way since 1997. I remember finding FF11 refreshing when I first played it and I feel the same about FF14. I find it enjoyable to do something new then the same old tired crap.
