I know WOW has a lot of great content and quests and lotsof fun things for ppl like me. I am a casual gamer. Though there are things that make me regret WOW's Survival. I mean there is a crap community, sometimes lag, and Blizzard gives the worse service. Why does Blizzard ignore these bugs that could get them broke because so many ppl complain? Well what do you guys think of the issues and survival of WOW. Thats why i currently play Guild Wars. I have played WOW at a friends but there are issues... I regret getting WOW because.... Is WOW gonna be dead and a waste??? What do you all think of this matter?

Yeah I know...
I know WoW is a good game, but it's not for everyone thankfully.
Have fun with GW dude.

Why so many people say it's destined to be dead?
And one more thing.
For those RP players out there.
Warcraft is as good for Roleplaying as it might look (even with those RP servers). It's beacuse there isn't much story behind it. I mean there is story behind but most of it is just battles and conquering...
If you would like to play a good RP game try.... SWG
Correct me, if I'm wrong

Wow is not bad and I don't believe it will die anytime soon as this is Blizzard's baybee, sure there are some technical issues with the game and the community is awful at times but hey so is life and with life things will go on. You can bet your bottom dollar both will get better with time. I don't see how you can judge GW's community when it's still in beta (Or is it I don't know) since historically beta communities are made up of only a select few players who tend to bond because of being closed off from the rest of the gaming world.
If I'm not mistaken GW is a FREE MMO and we all know what kind of crowds that word tends to draw in. So good luck with GW I hope it's community can continue being as pleasant as it has to you after launch, but as for me and my family/friends, we will continue enjoying what WoW has to offer as we are quite content.

Which FF Character Are You?
In my opinion WoW doesnt hav bugs, but some select servers (most of them are OK) do have problems. What im a bit disappointed in is development of new content. However, I realize that due to WoW popularity Bliz has too many things to worry about so id wait for 2-3 more months for things to settle down and new content to start flowing in.
I am the type of player where I like to do everything and anything from time to time.

I wouldn't compare GW's community (which is only open to a select few and then you only get a chance to play once a month) with WOW (which is already released to the entire public and you can play all the time).
Also what makes you think GW with its one time fee is going to keep the kid's out when they can keep playing for free vs. WoW's monthly fee?
I don't know why people want to compare any game that is still in beta with games that are currently out. In beta you have more of a controlled environment. People are more forgiving of bugs because its beta and they are just happy to be in it playing.
I edited this to add: I don't think Blizzard is ignoring the bugs. Once again, from a programming/networking perspective - I believe its much harder to fix problems than people think. I don't let them off the hook - I want bugs fixed as much as the next guy. But I refuse to believe there is some conspiracy to keep bugs in and lose customers.
I guess you're right. And so will the other games that are on the left...
But new games will come, and I will enjoy them even MORE
If that was the question on that poll, then my answer is yes, otherwise, no it's not destined to die soon...

i said that WoW it is destined to die, because it is.
With no time spans, of course it will eventually die... ok i behaved like a smart ass, sorry
Ah.. yes, RP is hard cause there is few lore but only battles..... yes, i mean the lore document in the wow siste is filled just with battles, right on..... not!
RP is hard cause you can't speak with the enemy, so cutting on much needed interaction between rivals AND cause there is no chance to open conflict inside your own side by declaring wars on other Friendly guilds for whatever reasons it come to mind. Ok, at least you can duel...But storytelling opportunities are quite limited, but then it is to be expected, being WoW not a Virtual World but a Game.I accept it and love it as it is without searching for features that are not part of this genre.
Have a nice day.
"If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day, if you teach him how to fish, you feed him for a lifetime"
That's what I'm saying. RPing is hard within WoW. Even the RP servers don't help a lot, because as Volkmar said, it's mostly about fighting (Warcraft...)
And Blizzard is creating: siege weapons, hero classes...
All about fighting,
So RP people, this game is not destined for you. Of course you will play it if you love the World, but you won't have as much as you want...

Bad thing of WOW - No storyline to make it an RPG
It will survive a while like any other game, Hell Lineage I is still kicking as far as I know, and that game is ancient.
What? i could have sworn the koreans are all over blizzard like 5 year olds and power rangers. they are obsessed with them!
although lineage 2 and FFXI did capture more of the asain MMORPG players. and there really arent that many MMORPG players in america compared to asia.
