I'm confused, what offical forums? DAOC has not now, nor ever run their own forums.

If you are actually looking for helpful info about the game and a better moderated board then you can go to http://daoc.catacombs.com/
Both of these boards will have the Team Lead reports as well as posts from the DAOC staff. Pretty much they have 2 people's whose main job description is to read all of the boards everyday.
