World of Warcraft: Go to Blizzcon, Get a Pet

SBFordSBFord Former Associate EditorMember LegendaryPosts: 33,129

Folks who attend BlizzCon 2010 this year will score an in-game pet for both Starcraft II and World of Warcraft. The pet, a Murlocalyptic, will be received for both in-person attendance or virtual attendance at Blizzard's annual fan convention in Anaheim, California. Blizzcon 2010 will be held on October 22-23 this year at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Everyone who attends this year’s BlizzCon or purchases the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket will receive an exclusive set of murlocalyptic in-game items for World of Warcraft and StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty. This includes Deathy, a murloc companion decked out as Deathwing and doing his best to strike fear into the hearts of Azeroth’s crustacean population.

Pets just take up bank and pack space, I do not see what the attraction is to unique pets.  If you want a pet there are a ton available in game.  About the only use for a pet I have found is letting my group know where I am when stealthed as a rogue.

That is the ugliest pet.  That's the pet you keep penned up in the back yard so the neighbors don't see.  UGH!  I'd tell them they can keep their hideous pet.

i sitll don't see why people want mini pets... they aren't that cool at all... they're all premade so its natural everyone can have one exactly like the other... blizzard would be smart if they could make a pet creator customizing every aspect about it... that way uniqueness would bring the minipet to be a more enjoyable thing.

Yeah, pets don't take up bank space anymore.  Now if they could just do something about all of those quest items... =P

And when was the last time you played ? Pets ( and mounts ) do not take space since several months.

Gah, don't show me that. One of the things I do miss about WoW was collecting pets.

They will add or sell a pet for anything.......

“It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money - that's all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot - it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.”

    Not since early 2008.

Ozmodan is a perfect example of typical whiner. The one who has not played game in months but never fails to give his/her outdated opinions. We have plenty of those on WOW forums.
