Some of you guys are going to really hate this player. He really got on my nerves because he spends over 2 1/2 minutes just looking at the menus and skills. If you guys don't want to read all that stuff with him, just skip to 2:40 where he actually starts to play the game.
He still got on my nerves at certain points because there was so much more I wanted him to do, but at the same time, there's still alot I got to see and hear. He appeared to just be playing around, not following any particular path like the devs in the official demonstrations.
Either way, the sound is absolutely wonderful (for all of you sound lovers that keep poppin up lately)

But there is not much action....

Worst. Video. Ever. He does nothing but wander to one spot then wander back again while looking at his stats every 2 minutes.
Thanks for the vid. That was informative. I think this could have been the video used to create the sticky thread regarding the hero panel.

Doesn't really make the game stand-out from every other MMO on the market already.

Damn, people. Chill out. He was showcasing some of the other features the game has to offer. Did you think combat was the only thing this game has going for it? Use your eyes, as well as your ears, and you'll find that quite a lot that was shown is setting apart the game from other MMOs already.
Well, not the best action video, but it was interesting to see the UI and hear the sound effects. I LOLed when he pwned the little rabbit. Because there wasn't much action, it's hard to tell if this is going to be much different than anything else.

Not bad for what it is, nice to show the stats pane, I had no idea how it was going to work. The "3 buffs" for each part is pretty nice, forging it along with your playstyle. The dye menu looks even better

Not sure I like how fast the mobs regen their health. It seems way to fast for me
i think i am now hooked no guild wars 2.... damnit, so many good games coming out, this shit is going to be difficult.

GW2 set itself apart from others with things you can actually do IN game, not by the look of it. but you should know that already if you even read about at least one of the features of the game....Some statements just piss me off(consider the fact that its very late and Im tired)
I think I actually spent way more time reading and theorycrafting about MMOs than playing them
man this game is just gorgeous, from an artistic and graphical perspective.

I've posted this exact video earlier today in the gamescom-footage thread, but nobody seems to look there.
The Video posted by the OP is merely the 4th part of a press demonstration that doesn't show anything really new, ecxept for a small defense of Steeleye Span. It starts with about 22 minutes of human elementarist gameplay (again) and then switches to a charr warrior (as seen in the last vid).
What makes these videos so special is, that unlike all the others it is not a monitor filmed with a camcorder, but a direct source record. You can watch GW2 in all its glory at p1080 resolution. Even the wartower scenes can in no way compete with this, quality-wise.
Its the first time you actually see, that GW2's graphics are pretty aged from a technology view, but it has a great art style which makes it quite nice to look at.

lol, it's nothing you need to apologize for. Nobody looks in the camescom thread anymore, especially not on page 3 or 4, so you are not the only one who missed it. This way the videos actually have a chance of getting watched
Btw, you might wanna post all 4 Videos in your original post. Many people don't boother looking on page 2.
