For the so-called hardcore players. You do know there is a fatigue system, no?!?
I'm not hardcore. I'll be surprised if I can dedicate more than 2-3 hours a day to playing the game. The fatigue system might allow me to keep up with the people who grind 8+ hours a day in physical level, but I have no illusion that my character will be as powerful as theirs. They'll have more professions maxed out, more gil, and besides, there's more to playing a game than grinding. Someone could very well play the game for 8+ hours a day without grinding mobs/guildleves all the time, though I suppose enjoying the game isn't really hardcore.
Idk about you guys but aside from grinding, levequests, and crafting...there is pretty much nothing to do aside from talking to ppl and rp ing i guess >.<
And ofc the 48 hour leve timer AND 16 hours a week and you get no exp thing...itll be pretty hard to find stuff to do...
Oh theres shopping in the bazaar! If anyone played ragnarok online...Remember Prontera with 10000000 people vending side by side? yes...The market in FF14 is just like that >.<
Idk what fun stuf you guys would try to do but exploration is a no-no because of aggressive mobs that 1 shot you if you try to explore further places >.< Grinding enemies or rocks are pretty much the same >.< Id sooo prefer to fish in Torchlight than ff14...ff14 fishing was just 'meh'
You usually cant just run around grinding because there are tons of other people grinding mobs because they ran out of leves >.< Party grinding wont really work unless all your mages have thaum at lvl 20 for mp siphon I DOUBT people will be willing to run back to the aetheryte just for those 2-3 conjurers that ran out of mp. The other 12-13 people will be like 'meh' >.<
AFter the whole excitement phase of ff14...I just got bored because there really wasnt much to do in terms of actioney strategif fightey stuff >.< I blame the 48h levetimer and the fact that partying wont give skillpoints as fast as soloing does!

What you played is a technical CB devoid of content...That wasn't the point of it. Now, stfu & wait for the OB to start. Jeez...

Plus that exp Limiting 'thing' that they have put in..you can only level up for like.. 8 hours which gradually decreases over time until you dont get any exp at all..and then the timer resets again after a WHOLE WEKEK.. then you are able to level up for another 8 hours.. correct me if im wrong
this exp cap has really put most of the Fans off.
thus Cancelling their pre-orders after hearing that news alone.

False
False??? and? nothing to back yourself up with Mr Troll??
This Growth system is now posted on news almost everywhere..
Sakushi that is wrong, but it is too complicated to even explain. The basis is it won't even effect 85-90% of the playerbase. Fatigue regens as well. It is in combat time as well. I know some players in the beta played for 40+ hours some weeks and never hit the surplus or fatigue.
It mainly effects those that want to go out and hardcore grind/powerlevel and when doing that you will become fatigued fast. Most who claimed to cancel preorders probably never had to begin with and still don't understand the system.
It is simply a system that is being used so SE can control xp over time to reach a calculated goal. All MMO's dictate progression but most do it with a massive XP curve where casuals simply make no advancement, and may get a level every month or two. This system lets them still dictate progression, but reward everyone much higher for the first hours played in a week thus letting casual players progress and feel accomplishment while not setting themselves up for a tiny XP curve that powerlevelers can use to burn through the game too quickly.
Basically in a game like Lineage 2 you have billions of XP. They say they want it to take the most hardcore player 1 year to reach max. Well that hardcore player plays 80 hours a week. What does that do to the casual player who plays 15 hours a week? On the other hand if they base the curve on the casual player then the hardcore will be through the game far too quickly. It is actually a smart system to control XP over time and still reward casual players.
The 'threshhold' will be tweaked. It is not actual hours, but a threshhold limit per hour that is then multiplied by 8 and that is the advancement you can make at 100% in a week. Then it is reduced as it is multiplied up to 15 hours.
Sakushi hit the threshold in the third or 4th day of playing. my exp bar turned yellow in 9 hours of gameplay and it became way too slow on the 12th. Idk what they were doing to take that long to hit threshold but works diff for other people mayb?
It depends. In beta phase 1, 2 the thresshold was much harder to hit and the values were more inline. In beta phase 3 they greatly increased skill gains/xp across the board and did not adjust the threshhold properly. They admitted to this and said it would be increased and tweaked, and that it was far too low in phase 3.

I'll probably play 4-8 hours each day..... and I'm proud of that so leave me alone >_<
True gamers ADAPT and OVERCOME issus like this
not made me cancel my pre-order
have yet to see any serious evidence (apart from people whining they are cancelling but no proof they even ordered it in the first place)
