FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test Will Start on Sep. 2!



We would like to take this opportunity to provide an update regarding FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test, which was announced to be postponed on Aug. 31, 2010.



Along with the completion on investigation and correction of the critical issue, we have decided to begin FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test on Sep. 2, 2010 at 02:00 (GMT).



Starting on Sep. 2, 2010 at 02:00 (GMT), acquisition of registration code required for FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test will become available.



We are looking forward to your participation in FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test!

    Does that mean they are giving codes away?

    I would say so, yes, but there is no indication as to how many would be given away. I would expect it to be in the thousands though, as they would be wanting to stress test the server loads for the Sept 22nd Launch, and your not going to do that with 1 or 2 thousand. My esitmate would be 10,000 keys to start with and perhaps another 10,000 over the next couple of weeks.

    You are both correct

    NA = 1900 PDT Sept 1

    EU = 1900 PDT Sept 2

    I'm confused. Is it 2 am or 2 pm in  GMT?

    This is 19:00 PDT (today) and 02:00 GMT Tomorrrow morning). These times are the same, just in Europe it is the 2nd september.

     

    So it starts at 03:00 BST or 04:00 CEST in Europe.

    I think you can still get the downloader from fileplanet, and go from there.

    sos guys quick question,

     

    last night when the account managment page came bk up i logged in and it asked me to select my region etc so i done that.

    The question is though how does it work ?

    Come 2am GMT time on 3rd sept  do we have to go to the main page and sign up or sumthing or will it be atomatically sent as i have no idea what to do ?

     they had more than that in closed beta
