Question about the downloader

in Final Fantasy XIV

Hey guys,

 

Just a quick post as im a little curious on to how it works.

At the minute im downloading the game and im currently 85% through 1/4 which states i got about 4h 30m left to do but i am wondering can any 1 can provide a insight to how long the other 3 files will take to download or if the first 1 is the main 1.

    If you downloading the 3gb one, then the other file afyer it are small... but you going to have another 1.3gb file after those 4...

    You might wanna skip using the launcher and you the utorrent trick, i was 10x faster for me.

    To be fair after downloading 85% of it I think I'll just let it ride out and to be fair I have got a clue how to do that torrent trick

    you got lot longer then 4h 30m  that just for file 1/4 for files 2-4    will add more time like another post said second file is 1.5g last 2 are small  if you can torrent  clients will be faster as you can limt upload that what kills download speeds the bottle neck

    I started around 1:30pm and it just finished everything.  So I'm just praying for the code to activate the FFXIV beta service.

    err.....

    I started YESTERDAY 8:30am and keep it on for 30+ hours till now, and I am still at 54% ....

    Yeah you still have ways to go, hopefully everyone is keeping it live so there is better speed bursts then there was yesterday. Also after  you do finish downloading it goes through an updater type thing or installer, not sure what it was cause I just walked out to go to work.
