So many preorders!

I preordered a copy of GW, but got no free CD or anything (from Ebgames). They said they got about 40 of them and are sold out! This isn't a popular Eb also, usually there are only 1 or no people there. It's not even in a mall! I can't wait for the release because of all the players to choose from and the guilds. Also, I gave two questions:

1) How do you create a guild

2) How long does it take to level approxamitly?

    That's really weird, for that many to be sold at an unpopular store, but whats even more weird is that that many mmorpg players left their house to purchase the said game. I ordered mine online. It's nice and dark in here.image

    1)In every big city (at least in Ascalon) is a guild announcer. (In Ascalon near the fountain, near or on the highest point of the city is a GUILD creat0r)go there and start a guild, i've you got enough money/members who like to join)

    The "standard edition" costs 28 euro at play.com and the collector's edition costs 48 euro. Haven't seen them cheaper anywhere else.

    Answer to your questions...

    1.) Guild Announcer; As of last BWE it cost 100/1,000 gold to create guild, and 1,000 to create Guild Cape.

    2.) Depends on how you level. If you solo it'll be a lot quicker in the early part of the game, but once you hit New Ascalon, the best way would to be party + explore, or Coop Missions. I've got a level 15 R/Me, and a level 10 W/Mo, within a few days. Not hard just sometimes kinda horrid especially when your lost ::::17::

    WRONG: =>

    Guild Wars
    Due for release on 28/04/2005
    our price: EUR 28.99 Delivered

    Guild Wars: Collectors Edition
    Due for release on 28/04/2005
    our price: EUR 52.99 Delivered

    ok, ok still 11 euro's cheaper then mine, BUT, yes there IS a big BUT, first there is a dispatch of 24 hours.....shipping may be free but is SLOW, it takes between 3 to 5 days to get it shipped, that makes 4 to 6 days of delivery.

    ok, everyone his own thing, but i think for 11 euro i rather pay those more and have the game 3 days sooner ! ::::39::

    I drove over 3 hours to Boise Idaho (nearest EB Games) so I could get Guild Wars, I told them my situation and they were kind enough to let me pay the full price, find a pre-order box and also hold a retail box for me when they are avalible.

    Trust me, If I could stay locked up from the world in my own little cubbie-hole, I would, but there's this oddity we call life, and sometimes it throws us curves like kids, a wife, and bills.

    Nope you are wrong. You changed the currency to euro's. Don't do this, just leave them in pounds, this way the prices are lower.

    Guild wars 17,99 --> 26.22 euro
    Guild wars CE 32.99 --> 48 euro

    I don't care if I have to wait 5 more days if it saves me 20 euro (standard version).

  • XardasteoXardasteo Member Posts: 159

    hey there is only 1 euro/pound - pound/euro curency, not 2. and i read some nasty things about teared boxes & ppl that have never eaven got there game.....::::21:: , sorry, i keep it 2 euro's don't like the pound ::::34::, no offense though ::::39::

    I have ordered many times there and I'm really happy with the service there. If you ever have a damaged package they just sent a new one. And regarding the pound issue, I use xe.com for currency converting and that site is really accurate. BTW it's a fact that play.com charges more when you select euro as currency. Don't know why...

    But this is the last time that I reply in defence of play.com. If you want to buy the game for 40-45 euro you should buy the game at your local game store. If you can wait a couple of days, this wait will save you 19 euro.
