Actually this screenshots arent even on very high resolution, you need high end machine to play in maximum details, but to play in High it runs fine, the game looks beautiful even without very high, and for a 2 year old game its still the best looking mmorpg imho, they improved alot of the lag, and they improving more with this expansion, they correcting alot of old bugs
For those that left AC2 don't forget to check this expansion, now AC2 have 100% less Microsoft and Turbine made alot improvements to the game, just give them another chance
What bugs? Please explain.
I was always very impressed with AC II's graphics. And yes those screencaps have to be on a low res setup cause alot of the effects arent showing. I wonder why they didn't crank it all the way up though for the publicity shots, the graphics engine in AC 2 is one of its strongest points, they should take advantage of that.

Give me a break, a lot of the same bugs are still there I been in this game from beta to now. I love how people try and put one over on others. My system is fine with an Intel 3.02 ghz HT 2gb of ddr dual on a sata raid system and a 6800 256mb. The game you are right is over 2 years old and the gfx still leave a lot to be desired. I admit the high level is better than the lower (original game) but over a year and a half on the high detail what would you expect.
So to the ones starting fresh prepare to run into the same bugs that has always been there. If you go into the crafting don't say i didn't warn you about how bad it is. With so many better games out there I just can't see anyone going to AC2. Heck AC1 would be better and thats stretching it.
Remember all the original guys that made AC1 great have been gone a long time now.
Stormwatlz will always be missed.

Ummm, I wouldn't give full blame to MS for wrecking the game. MS just expected Turbine to live to Turbine's own deadline that they couldn't meet. MS managed to run AC 1 successfully for many years.

Thats a VERY one sided outlook on it, but ok, if thats how you feel very well. In your perspective sure, MS is completely at fault.

W h a t b u g s? You make AC2 sound like it's extremely bugged, which is wrong. You want bugged play Neocron. AC2 has no more bugs than any other major MMORPG. At launch it did of course, now there are far fewer. The only thing I have a problem with is the graphics engine's inefficiency.
So we notice one guy says the gfx are great, next guy says what bug's? But in same breath says it has no more bugs than another game. Then to top it off we have another guy that admits the gfx are less to be desired. Of course that is true after all the game is 2 years old and the game was done with the same type coding done with AC1 only more advanced. They couldn't make a WOW, EQ2, or even a DAOC looking engine if they tried. Now how about the servers, running with the less costly as they can. Lag is still bad in game and not M$ fault this time, this was changed a long time ago.
As far as me I go in and play at least once a week sometimes more just to see how they have done. I never was into really repeating stuff like Turbine loves to have you do. But see I get to play for free and I think all the players should get to play AC2 for free only because of how much players went thru with them from beta to now.
But to say the game is better and this xpac will make all the difference, dream on. I put money on you will see even more bugs when game launches. Don't forget most OTHER games would work on them bugs right away. We see that in a lot of the major players. This is what makes Turbine not a major player. You are right about one thing I have a lot of issues with AC2 and Turbine. I loved AC1 and still feel ripped off with AC2.
