Lobby Crash (when lobby online)

So right now im facing an unexpected issue i did not have before: I log in, and when I get to the homescreen (start/quit screen) and after pressing start, the game just crashes right after showing a bit of the character selection screen.
Any info, anyone?

Hey I'm getting the exact same thing, I think it's after I changed some ingame graphics settings and relogged, dunno.
Good to hear, (kind of ahah) I thought I had broken something.
Well on one hand: what a relief.
On the other one:for fuck's sake, is it impossible to play this game? Things worked way better on the closed beta.

it was working fine a few hours ago for me, now it just crashes always hmm... and there hasn't been a patch, has there?
Is anyone even in actually playing? I doubt it really i think everyone is gettng 13001's in the lobby.
I like square enix but im seriously starting to worry about this game if for two days we can't even log in and constant maintence. I mean on one hand i see them testing out server stress. But um, wasn't there enough people in closed to stress test one server? Meh... im just worried on the bad PR they may get.

I would disagree - CB made me want to rip my hair out. This is to be expected with how SE handles things usually, knowing this was going to happen(and having dealt with CB) this doesn't really bother me any; the only thing that frustrates me is them going back on the 'All beta invites will be auto-invited to tests after their initial invite' thing. The whole reregistry of another code could have been skipped - and a lot of server downtime avoided IMHO - but I'm sure there is a technical reason they had to have everyone re-reg, sucks regardless - but if you go about your day and don't want on it ; it's much more enjoyable. I'm playing SCII and alt-tabing out and checking on everything after each mission - and it's much more enjoyable lol.

Almost all games have these issues in any beta - and [b]most[/b] games are unplayable the first week of release lol. Even the king of kings right now(WoW) had a terrible launch lol.
No crash here, just getting the 13001 lobby server connection error....

I'm glad to hear it's not just us, but this is a beta so I don't mind I geuss, atleast we have keys.

Closed beta worked better cause there werent so many ppl playing (well trying to). And now they are finding the stress bugs before it goes live
Most people are aware its still a beta, but its also Open Beta which for all intents and purposes is more of a preview phase than a deep bug hunting phase.

Some guy said it's because the servers are down but i checked here [ http://www.ffxiv-status.com/ ] and they are up.
They also use Open Beta for stress testing, which is what we are all enjoying now.

It really is more of a time to build up hype for ones game or generate alot of fizzle. I mean I understand that it may be a bit of stress testing, but lets be honest here, Im sure they could have ran one server with all thier closed testers and did the stress testing just fine. Right now this is not doing well for thier PR view. *shrug*
Especially this day and age when we've seen alot of mmos flop just out of the starting gate(see apb). Some people are not willing to go through all that again come release.
I am becuase i love this game and final fantasy... but, im just being realistic here.

Servers are up and running, this seems to be a common bug. Meaning:
We're probably gonna have another couple of pathes! And if f we are unlucky enough, they'll probably wont download properly.
The best fix for this? Just get out of your room, go have dinner with friends or shag your girlfriend/boyfriend and come back in 24 hours.

We closed beta testers actually did that on the last days of the CB, so back then we thought it would have been worth the effort in order to avoid the stuff that's going on right now.

LOL, worked for a bit, game crashed after 5 mins and now I get the well-known 13001 error. Anyone else?

In Ul'dah now - not having any issues - actually having great network quality.
I got in Mysydia server, back to where I was (Ul'dah). Funny thing is, that everytime I walk around for a while, I suddenly get teleported to the start poing in Ul'dah (the one after the battle). This is just a major LOL.

I haven't encountered that - could be a world issue(not getting it on Figaro) or it could be just an issue for you(who really knows) I would say restart the client to see if it fixes it - but right now that could be the worst advice lol.
Don't worry I am now getting the infamous 13001 error in both worlds I try to log in (Mysydia and Besaid). I just keep LOLling.
