Hmmm, its funny becuase as i play, people claim things the second it comes up. Not even looking half the time. I think this game is going to have botter issues. Whic means... yay gold farmer spam! Hmm that would also lend a possible theory to why its so hard to get beta keys.. farmers spamming to get them. I know what you may say, "but it is just beta! why would anyone do that?" Well obviously they need to test thier programs before it comes out yes? Hmm..
Wonderful... cant even complete my quests cuz of this.
Anyone else expereincing this?

I hope this is a joke thread, if not /facepalm
LOL this guy is coming from AION for sure
From what I gather, FFXIV's may actually be relatively resistant to botting, what with the quasi-action based combat and apparent inability to get logged in.
Anyone surprised this day in age that an mmo will have botters is either incredibly naive or incredibly lacking of mental facilities.... or possibly both! RMTs, botters, etc are a part of the mmo landscape. They wouldn't test their programs out during beta however; too much uncertainty as to what coding will stay, get modified or what not. It would be easier to however scout ahead to see what is good to either camp or farm.
You completely missed the part where in the ToS it states that the company can and will be using a lot more 'invasive' scanning/data collection to help facilitate development. No one is going to run their 'cheating software' in that type of enviroment since it can be easier to detect. Secondly, the amount of 'RMT' will be dependent on how the game economy develops - there are games out there with very little/no RMT because of how the game developed. Saying for sure that the game will be overrun with RMT or even being able to visually see RMT on a daily basis - is not only unjustified, it's plain out ignorant.
Actually, when a mob instantly spawns and a person is attacking it, it means that only they could see it until they attacked it and now everyone can see what they're attacking. Meaning that it is a Guild Leve target. Guild leve targets are invisible to other people who aren't on the same Guild Leve (and when I say SAME one, I mean in the same party.)
No one is ever able to tap your Guild Leve targets because they are spawned specifically for you and your party and are only visible (and attackable) by you until you engage it first. Maybe you're not even in the right place for your "quest"?
