All this can be said in one word BETA . This is a time for people to find the problems with the game so they can be fixed before release, not to teach you how to play and give you a good time. People who do not have the brainpower to try and figure things out for themselves a bit should not even be in the beta. They should just wait till release so they can hold hands with someone who knows what they are doing.
You are describing "Closed Beta", Open beta is a glorified trial period and if you think the game is going to change all that much between now and launch I've got a bridge here to sell you.
But its good to hear the game provides a challenge starting out, and at least no one will call it a WOW clone

My problem with using wasd is that I am used to being able to move and attack at the same time using 1-10 to attack and mouse (left+right click, not point click) to move. Is there a way to do the same thing using this different type of ui? How do I easily move and attack at the same time?
edit: hmm thinking maybe numpad works. Ill try that next time im in.
well to be honest when you engage in combat no real point in moving as when you do all you can do is circle the mob and you are locked on the target. But no i haven't found a way to hold down left and right mouse buttons to move. But when i fight i just ignore my wasd keys and click on the number keys as i normaly would.

You can unlock it with C. In CB i had some mobs spawn on me unexpectedly and had to kite them. Was awkward because of the way the ui works.
Alot of you must not have played ffxi or remember it if you did. The controlls are more console style with SE they always have been. It takes some getting used to but once you do its just like anything else.
I havent been able to get in beta with all the server issues they are having but I'm sure they will get the mouse lag fixed it wasnt a problem in ffxi that I remember. Though I do remember hardly ever using my mouse after a while. Anyway enjoy it you lucky asses that got in hopefully ill get in soon
