does anyone have a link directly to the ffxiv beta forums? or open beta forums? I would really like to hear from a square enix moderator or emplayee what the hell is going on with open beta applications and the whole server congestion crap when trying to do the open beta app. It's been pure hell and every time i do manage to be able to friggen log in i get the whole open beta apps have been temporarily suspended crap. which in my opinion is a bunch of bs. if it's open beta keep the open beta applications open don't temporarily shut them down! I mean the game doesn't go live till the 30th which is the end of the month so people have plenty of time to play in the open beta to both test and find out wether its a game they want to shell out the cash for. At any rate if anyone has a direct link to the beta forums i would most appreciate if they could post it.

Good news! Congestion crap appears to be over with. Haven't hit that wall in the last few hours.
Bad news! Shit still sucks captain! You can login now, but they suspended OB applications again so you can't get the key anyway. When/If they will start issuing them again, it is a mystery!
They opened the servers...the servers got flooded...a few keys were handed out...the servers got flooded even more...the servers went down...they took down the entire application process until they can figure out how not to crash.
There I summed up what they wont tell you.
It sucks really. I was hoping to get a key and play over the long weekend. Heres to hoping they can get it up and running in time!

It's one day into an incredibly popular beta. Yea it sucks and it's trying our patience...but there's not much you can do!
Going and yelling at someone and demanding answers won't make it better and there have been plenty of answers as to what is going on from both this forum and from Squenix directly.
Let's just take a deep breath and hope that tomorrow brings some good new!!

none of the links for square enix actually state why open beta applications were temporarily shut down. it just talks about actual in game server traffic and login stuff. If there is a link with an explanation as to why open beta applications were temporarily shut down then post it please otherwise i'm gonna say my piece in the beta forums even though i'm not a beta tester and try and get some legitmate answers. hell i pay a monthly fee to play final fantasy xi I at least deserve some answers as to why open beta applications where temorarily shut down the whole nine yards. i'm not trying to offend anyone here but since there are no official square enix posts as to why open beta applications were temporarily shut down or stopped we as consumers/possible players at least have a right to know whats going on ect. anyway i'm gonna keep trying here maybe enough hits will get someone to wake up and smell the coffee that there are people heret trying to get their open beta keys but can't!
