Was spamming the page all day yesterday and never got in. Woke up today, had breakfast, then casually logged into my computer and got a key first try. Life is good.

Got my beta key, but game client doesnt seem to be downloading latest patch. I have all the others, just not todays. Anyone else having the same issue?
Got my key too. Finally in the game and enjoying it. Those with download issues, you must have some horrible service. Try Verizon Fios, it rocks!
Yeah, I just got a key too! Too bad I have to stay at work before I can actually start downloading it at home
just got my key also, glad I didn't stop downloading after the initial disappointment.
I could get a key easily too, so I guess they sorted it out. Then I launched the downloader and it started to use like 60-70% of my CPU staying at 0.0 download and upload speed. I'm not patient with those things when I'm using the computer, so I'll let it run during the night I guess

For those having problems downloading. Open FFXIV Beta Config. In the General settings under Network. There should be a port number. Port forward that Port number in your router and firewall.

As loads of people said before...
Downlaod the client with utorrent instead... just go my games folder and then inside the final fantasy folder there torrents files you can load. Goes way faster....

Where do you go for the keys... Ive seen all these threads about the open beta, But not one mentions where to get any keys,
wow really? Do yourself a favor and check the games website. Once it loads you will see at the bottom something that says "Join the beta now!" or something like that..........
Edit: On second thought you may not want to. Not only are there multiple steps to getting an account set up to get in the beta but the game itself requires you to figure things out. Not tryin to be an ass but if you couldnt figure out how to get into the open beta you probably wont be able to figure out the game itself.
Yep I just got in but I have a question... where are the video settings? Can someone please tell me how to change it to full screen and all that stuff? Someone said you had to do it before you log in but i can't see where? THANKS!
It's the config executable, you have to run it from the folder you installed it to.
In the SE folder; start > all programm's> square enix> config settings

Beta key.. go to their offical website and click on the "sign up for beta" at the bottom of the page.

I just got a beta key. Registered it, had confirmation, but when I go to the tester site to get the client it says log in denied, only beta testers are allowed to log in!

There is a fix for that since they automatically direct you to the American login server to validate. You need to have the URL to the server of the region you selected though. I my case that was Europe.
Don't remember the thread, but it is here on the first page. Have a look at those, and the URL is there that works.
Great tip! My expected download time went down from 26 hrs to just 13 hrs with this one!!!
Can't wait to get started.
