Im buying an XBox360 controller to play the game, can anyone link me the place where the recommended button configuration for gamepads is? Thank you very much

Just run the FFXIV config in program files/squareenix/ffxiv. Then click in the first movement window in top left. This is menu movement and is usually the dpad. Then you have movement which is the left arcade stick, then camera movement which is the right arcade stick. Macros should prob be shoulder 1 and shoulder 2, then cancel and confirm should be A & B then the rest is preference.
target/open menu = DPAD directions
movement = left analog
camera = right analog
emotelist/stack battlecommands= Y
select/confirm= A
cancel= B
main menu= start
autorun= left analog press
open macros ctrl= left trigger
open macros alt = right trigger
display map= select
view status effects= X
change view= right analog press
target lock = left bumper
active/passive mode = right bumper
