Beta Launcher crashes instantly every time on 2 different computers!

I downloaded the 118 meg installer from both File Planet 2 weeks again, uninstalled that, redownloaded it from SE official site.

I install it, I have a Nvidia Geforce 9600 card, Win VIsta 64 with Service Pack 2, DirectX 10, all up to date video drivers for my card, I also have a 1 year old Quad Core with 6 gigs of RAM, and it just turns grey/black and crashes immediately with the Vista generic "Stopped Working" error instantly.

I just registered and have my code I'm in the process of entering while I'm typing this up but still have all the files to download.

On a different site they suggest ATI Catalsyt Control 10.4 BUT I have  Nvidia Graphic card NOT an ATI. I did install it, reboot, nothing as I thought.

So I had reached inside my computer 2-3 days ago and was was reinstalling my 9600 for this game (I was playing Wow for  months with basic onboard, I didn't mind that) and I plugged it back in and turned it on, NOW I get a black screen on boot up saying Intel Boot Group and something like Device hard disk failure and a /// symbol spinning. I'm guessing I knocked a wire loose when I was inside adjusting my Geforce card? I never saw that before, but the wire looks fine to me at least. It's still attached to the hard drive.

So now for the past 3-4 days I'm on my laptop a Dual Core with 2 gigs of ram, Vista 32 with Service Pack 2, DirectX 10 and I'm guessing basic video card from Gateway that came with it, I can't tell.  I installed it on here and it crashes instantly as well.

Imagine that, the same person with the launcher crashing immediately on 2 different computers, I'm extremely frustrated now and also with my boot up error as well. I know my laptop may not even be good enough to play on low, I realize that but that's NO excuse to why it's crashing instantly.

I had installed ATI Catalyst COntrol 10.4 on both computers and nothing, even though I have a nvidia card on my desktop and whatever on here, my laptop.

Well if I was your computer i'd stop working for you because you cant read something named "Minimum Requirements"

Read on other forums and reviews since you cant try it, u'll see you dont really want it anyways. Wait on GW2 like most everyone else does.

As for your desktop, there are two cables going to the harddrive. Data and power. If it is PATA it is a flat grey cable about 2 inches wide. If it is sata it is a small<usually red> cable half inch wide. Those need to be connected to both the harddrive and the motherboard. Make sure the connection on both sides are firmly plugged in.

As for the launcher crashing. Do you have a firewall, becauseI have to turn my firewall off in order to play FFXIV.

Jack, that really was no help at all. I have a Quad Core with 6 gig of Ram, that's good enough even for the lowest setting at least.

And I know what I want to play. I'm 40 in a few weeks, not 15 or 20,  and FFXIV is coming out exactly the week of my birthday, and I've played FF 1 (which was actually the Japanese FF 3) on NES way back in '88 when I was 18 and just graduating high school. Hell, I played the first video game ever released for home. Which was Pong! from Sears, and Santa got it for me for Christmas of '77.

Vercin, I have the red wires and perhaps this might help.  Long story short, I have the built in 10-20 various memory card reader in my computer, and I had a 4 Gig digital camera SD card in it the night I reinstalled m 9600 video card, removing pics from the night before, and I rebooted.

Now I had remembered that was a problem before when I left it in, and I had to pull it out then it booted just fine.  But now it's not helping at all, with the SD card out, and In The BIOS, under Hard Drive prioirty it had the order of built in cards then hard drive, dvd rom etc, so it always checks the memory card slot first.

So now I have no card in at all, and in the bios and it has Hard drive priority with 1 Bootable Add-in Card selected.   I tr to hit the Up, Down, Page Up and down keys to change it but it won't let me at all, it's stuck on add in card and I hit F5, system default and it didn't change at all and I can't bring up hard drive as #1 yet.

No, I don't have a firewall at all, I turned Windows generic one off the first week I got both my laptop and desktop.
