I can honestly say I wish I didn't spend $64 dollars on this game...
I think my older brother was exaggerating when he told me how fun it was... Wow...
I can't even play it for more than five minutes at a time before exiting out.
It's just... So... Unentertaining...
Am I crazy? Is it just me?

I had many hours of enjoyment of SC1 lan parties. Then again, I picked it up for 20 bucks. That'd be the only reason I'd pick up SC2 as well.
i love the game but it's probably just not you're type of game
do you like any other RTS games or were you an RTS virgin
My son is enjoying it alot and he mostly plays FPS's.
Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries...
Really? I loved SC2 campaign, I thought it was actually really awesome. (I couldn't get into SC1, but I was a huge WC3 player)
Yea sounds like it's just not in your taste.
You aren't the only who didn't like it.
Me I love it.
I'm bought many a game I ended up not liking and just selling (if on a console) or just letting sit on my shelf (Mostly PC Games... I'm looking at you "The Witcher")
I've played Age of Empires and Warcraft and the "older" RTS', SC2 just doesn't seem worth the money yet.
Seems like Blizz just gave the game a facelift and sent it on its way... I think they could have done much more with it.
Hi OP (opening post),
I have to know.. did you jump right into multiplayer? Or did you play single player mode?
I found that Single player mode was just awesome. I loved the story and movie scenes.
Multiplayer gets fun but it will get tiresome if you're just getting beat all the time (as I was). Starcraft 2 takes a lot of dedication people don't have time to commit. This may include watching pro videos, reading up on strategies, testing build orders, and more.
The reward are oh so sweet, though!
Oh, no, I played the Campaign to start off. I haven't touched multiplayer yet because I'll probably get torn apart.
I'm just going to play little by little until I really start to get into it, I've already spent more money than it was worth, so I might as well try and make it work.
Won 5 placement matches then get into diamond league but stop there because I'm afraid to get owned and get demoted into lower league :P
I must say I feel exactly the same way. I found the campaign to be somewhat... underwhelming, and definitely not as entertaining as I thought it would be. And that's without getting into detail as to why the story sucks.
That and I've never been a huge fan of micro-intensive on-line RTS matches, so... the multiplayer is just not for me.
Makes me glad I borrowed a friend's B.net account while he was away for a week instead of pre-ordering the game and wasting $50.
