Im going to give this ftp a shoot but i have 5 toons and im gonna be allowed 3. Who or what will decide what 3 stay and will other 2 be deleted?

I was wondering something simulair, I got a lvl 19 guardian, I was wondering If I would keep that one if the game goes Ftp and continue his journey

To the best of my knowledge your toons will still be there,you just wont be able to access them unless you buy character slots or pay a subscription.As far as which ones you get to play i believe you get to pick which ones you want.
First off, since you're saying you only get 3, this means you're Premium, yes? (Ex-subscriber playing free)
If so, did you ever buy Mines of Moria or the Adventurer's Pack? If so, they each came with two extra character slots, so as Premium you would have 5 slots (or 7 if you bought both) and won't have to worry about your characters being locked.
If you didn't buy either of those and only subscribed to the original SoA game then you will be limited to 3 character slots. When you first log in after free-play starts and you get to the character select screen you should be given the choice of the three characters you want to unlock. The other two will be locked until you get more character slots.
I haven't done a lot of research on this but if i remember right. There will be 4 new servers for the F2P version, while the other servers remain P2P. Really not sure if you can even transfer characters from the P2P ones to the F2P. This is just a guess but i'd bet there are only 3 character slots so that you have to buy more slots from the store.
If it's on a trial or old ex-subscription account then yes you get to keep playing him. If it was only a beta account (if you were playing on the recent beta) then he'll be deleted with all the other beta stuff.

10. If a player decides to downgrade to a Premium account from VIP, and that player now has only 3 slots available (and chooses to not unlock any more slots) how will that player be able to select those 3 characters?
They will be allowed to select/pick which three characters you have access to. From the FAQ, you can "...pick the characters you want to play. Your other previously created characters will be visible but not accessible unless you unlock more character slots."
No, the new servers are not different from the old ones in anyway except that you cant transfer to the new servers.
F2P and P2P are not two different things, its a hybrid model that will run on all servers both in US and EU (and maybe russian servers?)

You are correct that there will be 4 new servers however they are not limited to F2P. All the servers, new and old, are open to all types of players. The new servers are only open to new characters though so you can't transfer any characters from another server to a new one. This is so that everyone starting new charactes on the new servers can be on equal footing without all the max level characters breaking the economy for the new players (too high prices for low level stuff).
