Where to purchase weapons and armor in Gridania.

in Final Fantasy XIV

My starting city is Gridania and im trying to figure out where to buy new armor and weapons. I want to get my Marauder out of that stupid tanktop and actually look cool. So does anyone know where to buy armor and weapons, or is that not gonna be available in the Open Beta?

PS. Where the hell are the Auction Houses?

    As far as I know, SE expects everything to be crafted and traded, hence all the different crafting jobs. The auction houses won't be in release either. SE says they want to let the economy grow a little first.

    There's a few merchants/stores that sell very basic equipment, but for the most part if your looking for an upgrade to your current gear, you'll probably have to look towards crafters.

    I'm not sure where they are in Gridania, but I know theirs a weapon and armor shop in..Ul'dah? The desert city..can't remember the name.
