I think it would be really cool to have your character's mouth move when you are speaking to others in an MMO. I would also like to see people's voices coming from their avatar's mouth in game. I think this would be really, really cool immersion.

Tell it to the Star Wars: The Old Republic devs over at BioWare.

Done! Lol. Now I'm going to file for the patent...
Well you could make a suggestion about it over at the official forum.

I'm not sure what tools they used to tinker with the WoW graphics engine, but South Park did a takeoff on the game where they had the ingame characters lips moving and it looked pretty good. Not sure how well it would work for real, though. I suppose you could make the lip movement voice activated...
(I advise shrinking your browser window to watch this, as the resolution sucks. But as a MMORPG'er I got a big laugh out of it.)

Err EQ2 has this since it's beginning.

Doesn't WOW sort of already do this? I mean we're not talking Half-Life engine-style syncing to voice comms, but each time you /say something your char plays a talk animation and /yells cause a shout animation.

There used to do that with in-game voice chat.
Im sure EQ2 and WoW both do this already, or at least, they used to.
