Client Download taking forever

in Final Fantasy XIV
I didn't get a beta code until Friday morning, didn't get to start downloading until Friday night. It's been over twenty four hours now and I'm still only half way there. This is majorly sucking. I hoped to get to play this weekend (long holiday weekend), but it looks like I'll be lucky to have it downloaded by release.

*sigh*

    Some say to find the torrent for it, it downloads in a couple hours that way.

    Torrent? I'll look around. As it is now, I'm getting 0 b/s download, and 36 b/s upload. So helping out others and getting nowhere on my own download.

    mine took a long time also and so did everyone elses its just a crappy client but i am sure it'll be better upon release it took me like over a full day but i thought it was worth the wait

    There are some pretty good workarounds at the link below. This is just one of many "fixes" you can find out there. Kudos to the FFXIV community for figuring out what Square Enix should have or none of us would be playing the OB.
