Anyone else having trouble setting up a PS2 controller with the game?

I have an adapter to hook it up. It works perfectly with everything but FF. In the config utility, the option for the game pad shows up, but the top targetting shows axis 25 and nothing is able to be mapped. Nothing changes. Any ideas?

The game can be picky with controllers. Go Xbox 360, PS3, or even Logitech. Those all work for me.

When I was in Alpha a lot of people used motioninjoy to get their controllers running.
