Mouse Lag Fix

in Final Fantasy XIV

Stop using your mouse.

Use your number pad to move. 

place your right hand on the number pad and place your left hand on the IJKL keys.

Your right hand thumb can access the arrow keys with ease!

8=forward

2=back

4=left

6=right

0=cycle through targets

enter=select action

- = bring up the menu

arrow keys = navigate menu

IJKL = move the camera.

 

So for all of you people complaining about mouse lag, you don't even need to use the mouse in the first place!

    that in no way fixes the mouse movement lag, there are some things that you currently need a mouse to do. for example selecting area affect or single target for spells

    pbernard, I honestly don't know if I should get mad, because you made a thread with a completely FALSE title to attract readers, or to just start with the IQ assumptions about yourself.

    I hope you get warned by a moderator about this kind of stuff.

    Well said bernard, however, in the alpha apparently the keyboard was more customizable and you could use the arrows to controll camera. So I expect to see this customization for the keyboard controlls upon release.

    I love snails.
    I love every kinda snail.
    I just want to hug them all, but I cant.
    Cant hug every snail.

    Honestly I think the mouse plus the W key is far better for movement than the IJKL and numpad or WASD, even with the lag.  Turning using keys cannot be as precise as mouse.  Its kind of like that guy that installed the tiny steering wheel on his car.  He says "You just have to get used to it" but really its fundamentally an inferior turning mechanism.

    i think the problem is the misunderstanding, which is that, people don't want a 'workaround' or an alternative, they just want the Mouse to work properly with the game, it shouldnt be this hard, the Keyboard and mouse has been the primary method of controlling games for decades now, would it really be so difficult to improve the coding in that regard? to me, it just seems that the PC gamer is the 'poor relation' as all we seem to be hearing is excuses, or worse..  which is very odd don't you think.

    They have made some changes and we might see more. But ultimately the poopsocks who dont like it can play something else, or play mmorpg.com.
