What almost made you Cold Quit?

Cold Quitting, for the lack of a better term, is not giving the game a chance to warm up because you couldnt figure something out or it was out of your comfort zone. Cold Quitting is an epidemic lately in games. And yes... I just made that word up, so you don't have to point that out.
Im posting this, because the ingame feedback isnt available yet, and I would like to know what others think without reading through a billion seperate posts. I never played FF11, but I was a hardcore FF fan up until FF7. This game is so different than what im used to in mmorpgs, but it has already grown on me.
The following things almost made cold quit.... feel free to post yours.
CHAT
I want to seperate my combat/general chat and be able to filter out the NPC chat.
INPUT
keyboard/mouse support is of course terrible, but it doesnt really bother me so much now that I have my xbox controller set up. I was amazed at how well this game works with gamepads. Regaurdless they need to fix kb/m for release or many potential players will quit after 5 minutes, like i nearly did. I am glad I tried a gamepad before I quit.
OPTIONS
could use the config utility to be a bit more obvious, even if it is just a note ingame. I understand they are trying to make it cross platform, so I understand why it is not integrated.
LAG
I usually don't comment on this in betas, because its usually just a beta issue, im sure it will be fine in release
PATCHER
I nearly forgot about this until someone below reminded me of it. The p2p patcher is rediculously slow and seomtimes just stops working. luckily in the documents/mygames folder you can find the torrent for the specific patch and just run it in utorrent to bypass the patcher.

Try doing something as simple as crafting. I even ran 30 min across the map to be totaly away from everyone.
Still lagged like dog shit.
The interface.....Spending an hour just to learn a completely non-intuitive interface - definately a no go. Apparently, I'm a WoW-loving simpleton kid who wants things handed to him on a silver platter because I don't like the interface......What I really am is a pre-order cancelling non-subscriber ;P!
interface navigation is intuitive if you use a gamepad and have ever played a console game in your life, but yeah i agree it is non-intuitive with keyboard/mouse
thats sort-of the point. they have more servers, but they limit the number of servers to monitor the stability of rediculously floodeed servers. Im just happy that they arent crashing to be honest.

Patcher is broken to hell.
Combat is just not immersive.
No jumping is /facepalm
Graphic bubble gives me flashbacks to the terrible LOD from EQ2.
No direction for the player what so ever.
Essentially its pretty, animations are good, the world seems large but someone forgot to put a game in here
FF XIV is uninstalled and I'm probably going to roll the dice to see if its 3 months in AoC, VG, CoX or LotRO. VG and CoX get +2 to roll because my guild in VG is awesome and my wife will actually play CoX =P
Would love to try it out for myself, can't get the patcher to work. Everytime I start it stops working unexpectedly. Luckily, windows says it can search online for a solution.........
