I guess it kinda depends, obviously GW is more pvp orientated so if you enjoy pvp alot then go for that, also it has no charge as you mentioned which is always good.

Pvp = godliness
Playing: WoW
Waiting on: Gods and Heroes
If I buy wow I wonder if I could join a party cause I think that there are not so many people of low level like when i'm starting the game for instance. Is this so?
if it is a ? between the 2 go WoW but if u are looking for a fun game now i would say L2 but that game is so far into it u wont get a good chance at catching up. actually i change my mind GW it is new and u can still be a pwr house WoW everyone is lvl 60 in a week pretty lame
It is very easy to get the level cap in World of Warcraft. Although the game is so much fun. Guild Wars from what i hear is not that great except for the 0$/mo. But paying like 10/mo for WoW is nothing. I honestly dont care if there is a fee unless it gets ridiculous 15$+ . One of my good friends from Everquest Online Adventures says that Guild Wars is garbage. He was a beta tester. I never played Guildwars but i would have to say go with World of warcraft because that and Everquest I are the best mmorpg's out there that i have played.
wer seen the wow fan aspects here i think prety much ............
Anywayz let me tell u few points of the games..
RPG side
Wow= Is a rpg game where u got the old style smithing, mining etc.(differnet things to do), town raidind, grinding, questing(old style quests run there kill that etc .. Tho raid partys are prety good)
Pvp aspect wow isnt that great it has not best balanced races/characters...the tactics u use are prety much the same in most times.
Gw- the game is crpg and there game is based on missions and story line(ur past actions will effect u in the future). Game has prety good balanced proffessions, u got do think more than just reflex ur buttons, its team based u wont do the victory on ur own.
About companys 1.Blizzard- the game has massive issues , there are tons of private servers out there, servers now begin to be stable, unfinished promises(battle ground , prolly not inmplented because of wows net code what cant stand much ppl at same place)
2.Anet - sticked to their promises everything is on plan, well atleast the beta events ahve been smotth , at wow it was prety laggy,
Im sure blizzards gets hes problems solved and will run a good game , but i suggest if you like RPG go wow and if u like pvp go gw.
NO offence to wow fans.
and i think u should go where ur fiends went, its more fun with friends always even in a not that good game.
*pre ordered GW*
*leech*
My Guild
I heard that wow gets boring when u are lvl 60, why?And is this also with guild wars?
till how many lvl can u get with GW?
just get wow, thats all
I have actually gotten my hands on a 10-day trial for WoW, and I also played in the last three betas for Guild Wars.
Because of my style of gameplay, I would have to go with Guild Wars hands down.
The level cap in Guild Wars is only level 20, but this is actually a very good thing. Once you reach level 20, your character is only limited physically, which is health/mana and attribute points (which are used to make your character stronger).
However, you can still level up as you normally would, and you can still learn new skills as you normally would. There are over 75 skills available to you, but if you dual-class, then you have 150.
Also, this game is based on skill, not the gear you wear or the number next to your name. There is no overpowered crap like in a game such as Diablo, and it takes skill and tactics to win your battles.
For one thing, you can only use 8 skills at once, and you can only switch them around in town. This forces players to think up new tactics and strategies during their battles. If you were able to use all skills, then you could counter everything thrown at you, and I'm sure all of you can agree that takes no skill at all.
You can also use the terrain to your advantage, hide behind something so missles cannot hit you, in case you need time. Also, the higher you are above ground, the more damage while they do less, and vice versa.
All of the character classes are highly balanced, and there is a great PvP system implemented into the game. You can buy your own islands, wage siege-type-battles against other Guilds, and try to take control of the Hall of Heroes within the game.
Due to zones, the quests in the game are much better and simply overall funner. There are very well done cutscenes with voiceovers, and the quests you do range from blowing up a wall to get through to use a Catapult at your will. Everything in Guild Wars is optional, there is really only one thing you have to do in order to complete a quest.
What will you do to accomplish it? Will you tell your men to attack while you use a Catapult, will you take another secret path to get around the enemy? Will you get ambushed by the well implemented A.I., or will you ambush them first?
The graphics are obviously outstanding, and one reason is because of a unique feature called Post-Processing-Effects. You can practically see as far as the eye can, and you travel to the nearest town/outpost instantly.
It takes all of what I hate about MMORPGs, throws them out, and then adds in a bunch of other great things. It is really a very unique game.

RISING DRAGOON ~AION US ONLINE LEGION for Elyos
Pre Ordered two Copies of Guild wars (one for me and one for the wife)and got the 14 day Trial Key my mate got with his copy of Wow.
Time will tell, but from the very short three days I had with Guildwars during last beta weekend, and for the £18-£25 you will pay for guildwars is worth it even if you only got a weeks worth of enjoyment, from what I have seen to date its a fun game, and the PvP is a tat more complex than it says on the tin.
WOW on the other hand can be frustrating sometimes and fun at other times, but I will tell you at the end of my 14 days living with WOW, which happens to coincide with Guild Wars going live.
I am really looking forward to the 28th
I played in the open beta's of GW and found it boring. I like to PvP but I also like a thriving community and with everything being instanced it really takes away from it. Also it looks like slightly updated version of Dink Smallwood. I played WoW beta and for 3+ months of retail. Blizzard must have the worst customer service out of any MMO that I have played and this last patch was a joke so I canceled and will wait for something better.
I thought WoW was okay, nothing special, not the best MMORPG i've ever played, but it wasn't incredibly bad. If that's your cup of tea, then have fun. I know i didn't like it, so i quit. I also don't think GW will be all that great either, but that's just my opinion. WHo knows, youm ight get both and love them.
WoW is a more standard MMORPG game, wich don't really give you anything new. Haven't played it much, but guess it's well made and everything.
GW isn't you standard MMORPG, it's (more) original, with a more "instant action" feel about it. You don't have to spend hours smithing, or picking pumpkins. You don't have to walk where you're going(aslong as you have been tehre before). And the PvP aspect is alot better. Though the PVE in GW is great aswell, with a good story,.
I say GW
Sager - 9800 S
I am gonna say GW as well. Probably just cuz i have already tired myself out of WoW, and am highly anticipating GW. Something about the way Blizzard handles WoW makes me feel like they are ripping me off. It is a great game, but its highly addictive, and not addictive in a good way. Some games are genuinely great, and you are itching to get out of school to go home and play. With WoW, I want to get home to play, but only because I feel pressured, and competitive. It is like a drug, but I finally stopped, and the withdrawl is bad. Again, just like a drug
all hail guild wars!
I think guild wars will be the #1 mmorpg when it is released.
It has no fee, which means that the company expects to have so many people buy and play the game that they don't NEED a monthly fee. Thats pretty neat. Also, i hear it has a better/more mature community than wow, more depth than wow, (which any game can get) and lots of pvp. sounds cool to me.
