Currently I am playing the free version of Eq2 until Vindictus and TERA come out. Guild Wars 2 and Rift I have no interest in playing.

The last MMO I played for a good amount of time was Darkfall and that takes a very special type of mindset for you to actually get into it. Since Mortal Online looked like a giant turd sandwich last time I played it. There really isn't much to play right now for the Hardcore PvPer.

If you like the whole arena thing, WoW is the best way to go right now, but thats the only thing worthing doing in WoW.

Warhammer has their endless free trial going. You can level a character to level 10, gear your character out in the best gear for the level, and fit it all with talismans. Then you can just PvP at the low levels. It actually pretty damn fun, but will get old after about 2 weeks or less (depends on how much you play).

Still... There are no games on the horizon that will cater even closely to the Darkfall fan base. So my choices are: play the dieing/dead game known as Darkfall and hope for a game similar to this will  be made in the near future. The other option is return to reality, realize that there will never be another game similar to Darkfall and then jump on the bandwagon for FFXIV or some other carebear game.

"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear had gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

the only game that looks interesting is earthrise. I like sandboxes and all the games coming out look like themeparks to me. I might check out GW2 when i comes out it seems kinda exciting but im sure ill get frustrated with its limitations before too long.
