Until I see it on a shelf it will be always vaporware to me, they have been promising this game since the mid-late 90's, don't get your hopes up yet.
We are getting close to 2012.
It all makes sense now, just wait until they give the release date of 2012.

Pretty much what Firefly said. I've heard this song and dance before, although it is under a new company so who knows. They're really fighting against the current on this one, though. If it comes out and isn't absolutely spectacular, people will just throw it in the pile with Daikatana and Battlecruisersomethingorother.
The sad about this is, it looks just like any other shooter.

That would be an awesome pack booth. Big banners hanging over head saying "DUKE NUKEM FOREVER!!". You run over to the booth, click the mouse to get started and then over the loud speakers you hear "Never gonna give you up..." as you screen swaps over to that dreaded view.
The Duke Nukem Forever demo at 2k Games was easily the longest line in the place.
At least the stri...errr, booth babes in schoolgirl outfits were nice. "Shake'em, baby!"

Seriously though, I don't think DNF has much of a chance since a lot of people are POed about the whole debacle. The hype they generated has turned into pure hate and rage. I am hard pressed to find anybody around me that is interested that it is finally coming out, much less wanting to buy it.

At least they didn't take out a full page add talking about how Duke Nukem Forever and its lead designer is going to knock our teeth out in 7 months or so. I remember that stupid Daikatana add.
