Been playing the OB a little and have a few questions. I have not gotten a very high (6 conjurer and I think 7 Physical) level so these questions may be just a little premature but any advice is appreciated.
1. You can have multiple classes in 14 like 11. When do you have the option to start another class and where do you do it? Assuming there may be some direction in the game (questline) that will explain this to me but just incase there is not.
2. This may be related to question one but as a Conjurer do I have the ability to craft as well? If so where and when can I start messing with that. I would like to make myself some cloth and maybe help some others out as well while doing it.
3. Generally I like the mmorpg forums, but I am getting irrated with the people that think this game is WoW 2.0 (and believe me I have been playing mmo's since 1999 EQ1 so I am used to it but this is kinda nuts). Are there any other game related forums you guys go to for information and less hate?
That's it for now, any help is appreciated.

I'll help you out, though it may still be a little confusing.
1. Many of the quest lines are not implemented in the game and the tutorial is currently lacking so who can say whether it will tell you how to do these things. What you need to do is simply buy a weapon for another class and equip it and then you will become that class. You'll have to redo your abilities and attacks as well each time you change class. I don't know what city you've started in and only really know Limsa Lominsa but the weapon shop in Limsa is on the top level near the bottom and is on the map as something Thundersticks.. sounds like a gun shop.
2. Everyone can craft as crafters are classes as well. You need to go to the NPC shopping district in your area and, once again, buy a 'weapon' main hand and off hand for the crafting class you want to try. So, from your example, Weaver. The NPC shop will have a spool of yarn hanging from it most likely and you'll need a needle and a spinning wheel I believe.
3. I've found more help here than elsewhere but there's FFXIVCore for forums and Yellow Gremlin / ZAM for databases.
Also if you need any help with random stuff I could always create a character on your server. I'm rather bored.
Anyway, have fun.

Thanks guys that was great information and very helpful. I did not realize it was that easy to be honest... I guess I was making it harder than it was which is something I often do. I will check those forums out as well.
Thanks.
There is another thread around here about macros. You'll find they are very helpful when you switch jobs.
Drop the next-gen marketing and people will argue if the game itself has merit.
