Hi, I've downloaded the hi-res version and proceeded to sign up for a turbine account with the link from the game launcher.
However i got this message "Your session has expired. Please click here and restart the process" when it comes to the forum username. Clicking on the said link only reverts back to the main page that requires a product key.
Tried IE 7 and the latest firefox. Anyone know a fix to this?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Dorothi,
I just downloaded lotro and updated it as well through the client. I also clicked the "need a username" on the client, followed it to the webpage and was able to fill out everything until the Forum Account portion. After attempting to put in a name for the forum, I also received the message "Your session has expired. Please click here and restart the process".
I tried this about a dozen times with no luck. Hopefully it will see some attention soon so that we may start up an account.
I found a similar issue back in 2009:

It doesnt matter, even if you could successfully create a turbine account it wont let you log into lotro.
Somehow we need to add a 'f2p' option to the turbine account, which you cant do as yet.
So the question really is, F2P is launched on the 10'th... but what time? xD
It's now well into September 10th.. and theres no way I can find on the official site to create a F2P account. They are probably operating on Pacific time, and with a certain exact launch time for the F2P players, I would expect it at like 7 or 8pm EST tonight ; Lame
*Edit* They've added a Free To Play signup box to their website, but that server is currently going on & offline.
I have an account from when I'd purchased the game a couple years back, but I'm also on the hunt for how to create a new account for a friend. From their official forums:
D10. Free (After Free Play Launch)
In order to have a free account, you can use a previous, non-upgraded trial/guest/referral subscription. You can also create a new free subscription.
Seems to me that they haven't swapped their website to allow this at this time.
