Been off WoW for 2 years after my main hit lvl 80.....

Reason I left is because I truly miss world pvp, every one is in the skys now or hideing away in the new dungeon system, has that change, is world pvp back because I will like to come back and play my 80 a bit.

wait till the new expansion is released for world pvp, i'm sure all the veterans would love some freshly geared 80 to two shot lol.
You can be two-shotted now. Well, three or four - shotted for a good frost mage to lay the smackdown.
Arms Warriors, Ret Pallies, Destro locks, Shadow Priests (Not two-shotted, but that 5 second silence window+dispersion time IS enough time to kill you and they hardly get a dent), Rogues (Combat would be good if they had defensive capabilities, but in my opinion its one of the skill trees that should have pvp in it.), I could go on.
world pvp is dead with the flying mounts, eh the good old vanilla days :]]

Idk if its really dead nothing about ganking people flying around afk before landing then slow falling/blinking/frostblocking right before you hit the ground. Nothing like a good ol satisfaction gank.

It was flying mounts that killed off world pvp more so than anything else.
But the first few months of cata should be great for world PvP, you cannot fly till level 60 so all the people roling alts to play the new 1-60 should ignite world PvP for a few months.
World PVP died after the fist ex pack
The new profession, Archaeology, will bring back world PvP.
Actually, as much as the first ex pack killed world pvp, Isle of Quel'danas was the best. It was truly world pvp, even though it was secluded only to that area. Many a nights we had all out wars with the horde. There was even kill on sight lists we had, other guilds we had treaties with.... truly an amazing time.
Hope they add something like the Isle in cata, that would rock, other wise, like said above, the first 60 levels will be fun for the first few months.
This. Also gonna add in (I am in the beta btw) that more classic leveling in general is bringing back world PvP...at least in beta.
Odd we come to the same conclusion after the Beta experience. Tol Barad seems designed by people who fought at Tarren Mill themselves. You can see the influence of War in the background too.
