I just heard about this game, and I keep hearing people say that it's P2P. Is that peer to peer? What does that mean for a MMORPG? How does that make it different from other games?
Is this game in beta? When will it be released? Is beta free? Will it hit store shelves on release?
Lastly, why isn't there more buzz about this game? Not many people are talking about it, but I can say at least the graphics look amazing.

hehe, no P2P usually means pay to play here. I betaed the first RYL, it wasn't bad, I haven't kept up with what this one is though. I beleive if you go to their site they are offering a trial at the moment though for 2 weeks, maybe go try it out and see.

Thanks for the help, Fadeus, but more questions. I have read a lot about MMORPGs, but I never heard P2P as "pay to play" before. For most MMORPGs you pay monthly in order to play on servers that the game company runs. Is that all that P2P means?
But still, where is the buzz, the hype, the hullabaloo? The game looks great, but I'm not seeing the word of mouth or advertising. I looked on Gamespot, and it said the release is expected in June. Is that right?
I honeslty don't know, I don't follow RYL much because its PvP based.
And yes, often people use P2P as a reference for Pay to Play when people are talking about free mmo's versus monthly charge one. It simply means you gotta pay to play it, which is usually a monthly, but not always.

Not every game has HYPe and "hullabaloo"... PWG (PlanetWide Games) is realatively new and is trying to emerge into the gaming market... You can play right now with P2P if you downloaded the beta... and the game disc itself will hit market shelves in june.
From what I've read and seen at the website, this game deserves some big fuggin hullabalizoo. It looks sweet.
