I am having a massive craving for a 3D fantasy slasher / shooter with a Combo of the best juicy parts of Heretic 1-2 / Hexan 1-2 /DDO / Diablo 1-2 / Dungeon Runners. and a splash of Call of Duty realism. Wishful wet heavy breathing dreaming I know but .....
Have zoomed through all the above and Fate / Torchlight / Left4dead and about 10 others on the PC without any satisfaction.
Any suggestions? PLEASE!

if you're not a graphics whore might like the game i'm in the early stages of, if you like procedural dungeon generation as part of the mix.
altho the first iteration will be a 2D game, because there's free roguelike tilesets i can use and get by with alot less details than the eventual 3D version will have.
but the gameplay aims to be pure action spell shooting ala Heretic/Hexen, and procedural spells that might be considered a Diablo'ish touch (i don't play games that don't let you redefine controls, and don't let you strafe, so dunno much about Diablo).
who knows when it might be finished but will be on sale cheap on XBox Live Indie Games eventually. 8)

Does the game have a name or you just pulling my morning star?
EDIT: Sorry, I don't know any games like that.
Have you tried Dark Messiah of Might and Magic?

Excellent fantasy hack'n'slash fun to be had there! It deploys the awesome Source engine as well.
Always read the small print.
nice.. gonna go get it on ebay or amazon.. still looking for more.... i eat up games quick.
Wow found a NEW Dark Messiah for $1.99 on Amazon.com BUT it plays on windows xp ... which one of my 3 machines has!
Also it was $3.99 s/h :P
Steam has quite a decent lineup of cheap RPG and/or dungeon crawl titles. Worth checking out.
Titan Quest is a very good hack and slash rpg. I also like Drakensang, its a turn based game similar to Baldurs Gate or Neverwinter Nights in game play. Both games can be had on the cheap.
WOW isnt great because it has 12 million players. WOW has 12 million players because its great.
I had totally forgot about Titan Quest until just now, very decent title with a cheap price tag, worth every penny.
@OP- If you haven't played Torchlight, do yourself a favor and indulge yourself. If you have, Titan Quest is a decent buy.
Fate and Fate :the undescovered realm ... copied / cloned by Torchlight btw ...all 3 enjoyed ALOT and completed with all classes. The Dark Messiah movie reminds me of the Eidios Thief series ... which i completed many many years ago...
Disciples 3 is ok too and so is Divinity 2.
i may reserve this name for a later version and name it something more gimmicky for first release,
but have been planning on calling it " Paramancer ".

Going to order the Titan Gold and Gothic 2-3 fairly cheap.
Love the ability to see gameplay videos on Youtube nowadays AND get the older games real cheap and NEW from Amazon and a couple of other sites
Alows me to revisit games I missed .... course now my spouse says i can resell the 100's of games i have on ebay
Thanks for the suggestions ... keep em coming
Take a look at Risen also, very good game and with dungeons to crawl.
You and me buddy ....
Anyway. Closest thing to this was supposed to be "Hellgate London"
A game so good in concept only Flagship could screw up
Its still playable offline. But its just repetable mess that way
suppose multiplayer ones are confined to mmorpgs? Although I did see a title called dungeon bandits but it wasn't really dungeon crawling.
Actually, I liked this game. It has it's issues but gets better and better as it moves along.

I didn't mind it either, wouldn't call it excellent though. Not bad considering it probably costs around 10 bucks now (paid 19.99 around 2 years ago for a new copy lol).
But you'd be much better off picking up Oblivion instead, since Dark Messiah is essentially a condenced Oblivion. It pretty much copies it's gameplay directly and gives you a much smaller/linear world, aswell as a heck of a lot shorter game, with limited choices along the way.
Fallout3 is in the same vein as Oblivion too, plenty of stuff to explore and find, but the world isn't nearly as large though.
I didn't read the other posts, but if no one has mentioned it, then check out Sacred Gold, and if you like it, then the sequel Sacred 2.
Dark Messiah (3rd chapter now) is ok --- crashes frequently tho Not bored yet but wish had more combat moves.
Sacred gold ... done
Got bored with oblivion
Revisiting Neverwinter nights2 ... rechecking for new player made online content too
