City of Heroes: Let's Get This Party Started

NCSoft and City of Heroes devs are celebrating the launch of the new 'party pack', a new set of emotes that can be purchased in the NCSoft Store. Devs have plans to give away party pack keys on the official forums, the City of Heroes Facebook page and through the City of Heroes Twitter feed.
Here's the catch...you won't know what time, so keep your eyes peeled on all three throughout the day! Once posted, the first people to grab a North American or European code (depending on their location/server) and successfully apply it to their account, will have it forever. It's first come, first served, so you'll have to be quick! Be watching, and best of luck party people!

One of the few packs im not the least bit intrested in.Emote animations are nice tho.Smarter move on their part would have included carnie costume bits with it an their would not have been as much negative posts on their boards about this pack .

$8 for a few emotes is not... worth the money in these hard times. Like Axeion said, toss in some costume parts, and maybe even something that is useful in game, like a 2 hour jet pack or something. Anything to make it worth the $8.

but yeah, to call this game Fantastic is like calling Twilight the Godfather of vampire movies....
Yeah, even as a fan of the franchise, my reaction to this pack has ben "Er... are you serious?" Cut the price in half, perhaps, and I'll consider it, but compared to all the costume-power-emote-y goodness of the other packs, this emote pack is a nonstarter for me.
Seriously I'm tired of paragonstudious doing crap like this. Trying to people that arent sheep to use useless trend sites like twitsh*t and facebutt. Why not have ingame events and give stuff to people that actually spend time your game rather than some crappy site full of mindless idiots
I have a sneaking idea that when DCU releases, CoX will go down the drain. Sad because i really enjoyed CoX.

Seriously though, I do plan on checking out DCU. I can't say for sure it'll kill CoX though. People said the same thing about CO, and look what happened.

I'm A veteran from beta 1 i still hold my sub now, Ncsoft can sell anything they want, its up to you to spend your money. Personally i agree, this is stupid. I have bought the mini packs in the past, but only ones that gave powers, emotes are stupid! Who Gives a crap! Dont buy Them! Going Rouge Brought much needed New Life, I'll stay a sub, its still one of the best MMo's. DCU looks promising but so have many others. I'll check out DCU and hope for the best.
I actually cancelled my account over this Party Pack crap. It feels like nickel and diming to me to charge so much for emotes when the vast majority of them are already in the game (and one has been in for years, it was just used during holidays,) and on the tail end of people shelling out for the expansion and the expansion item pack.
A well, I'll just have to find a new MMO to play. I won't be recommending this game anymore.

Yeah I read and commented on your thread from before. I don't see how you could just quit it cold turkey. You seriously quit and haven't logged on since that thread? You know you miss it! How on earth will you be able to fight off the urge to resub when I19 hits with end game content and inherent fitness power pool? I play every night and enjoy it very much and you know what? I didn't buy the emote pack because one of my real life inherent power pools happens to be "Free Will".
Honestly, it's been pretty hard. They announced that stamina would be inherant and my mouse hovered over the subscribe button for a minute or so. But I'm sticking to my guns and refusing the resubscribe.
I was really hoping they'd reverse their decision on this and either a) make this pack much cheaper, as in $2 max, or b) admit this pack is a mistake and say "we're giving it free to everyone who bought Going Rogue!" since most of the emotes were in GR for NPCs already and new dances were promised with GR, but never came out (which means someone possibly held them back from GR just so they can charge for them, which seems like the type of nickel and diming Cryptic would do.)
So basically, you'd like to have it, you just want it for free? Personally, I don't want it and won't be wasting money on it. As an RPer, I use custom emotes and such over animated emotes anyway. Most i've ever probably used is ;ledgesit and ;walllean.
