SWG is better than both of them.
    Has more content than WOW
    Has more variety than both.
Has more roleplaying (by far) than both.

If you're a hard-core MMORPG'er you'll probably wind up bored with WoW. It's pretty quick paced and easy to level in so you don't feel a lot of investment in your characters. I like that about WoW but I get the same 'pace' in SWG with more of a feeling of vestment in the game.

Also SWG has more to do
    The graphics aren't as blocky
And PVP is already in and already working extremely well.

    SWG > WoW + EQ2

Just my opinion but I figure it's just as valid as the folks touting GuildWars and KOTORII etc. :)

played EQ(2years), SWG(2years since release), FFXI (2months image ), Lineage2 (1year and still going), WoW (since release, still active)

I suggest get a copy of Lineage2 and WoW.  Play them both because they're both quite different.  If WoW gets boring because you feel the lack of thrills, switch to Lineage2.  If you want to take it easy, switch to WoW.

I suggest everyone keep an open mind about MMORPGs cuz I've really found that people have very different tastes in gaming, especially MMORPGs.  The threads that start off like "WHAT'S the BEST MMO!" are very inaccurate to what you are looking for.

WoW is perhaps the funnest mmorpg. People say it's for casual players. People also say its too easy. That is totally not true. The first thing blizzard did under the WoW development over 4.5 years ago was that they made a list of all the boring and repetitive garbage found in other mmorpg that most people did not like(an example=2-3 minute downtime after battle) and they wished to not have those in WoW. The result? The most non-frustrating and most enjoyable experience on any mmorpg. Also you should consider this, WoW is the highest rated mmorpg ever. Take a look at any review site, any game related things and they will tell you that. WoW is the future of mmorpg, I gaurentee you this and I have been playing mmorpg since Ultima Online back in 1998.

Well my buddy, I'm no guild wars fanboy but I can tell u this

    I've played GW, and WoW.
Thats enough so I can make my opinion about both games ::::20::

Also some guy said Rogues are the most fun... gosh rogue at high level sucks :
My first char was rogue coz everyone said it owns and stuff... then I got bored and made a Shaman, loved it.

I'm still playing WoW btw. Coz I have nothing better to play, I'm waiting for GW's release.

My point on why WoW is so boring is that it has everything I can find on Lineage 2 + Diablo 2. Its just a fair mix of both...

    And I'm not a MMOG lover ::::12::
I like GW more 'coz I just find it more fun. I'm not going to not play a game coz I'm a "MMOG lover"

To the guy who said about the best MMORPG, greatest content on WoW... lol...
It surely, SURELY, has ALOT more things than GW. ALOT!
Maybe thats why its 3.1gb and GW its far from 1GB... But GW is much more fun for me ::::28::
Anyway, UO has 600mb and owns WoW in content.
Yeah it surely does. Smaller world? Well it has smaller characters!
Still smaller I guess... but at least the "limitations" are few things like can't swim or climb houses, or jump. It was soooo good... =D

So yeah, don't be a fanboi coz u r paying for WoW
dont be a fanboi coz WoW is the best game u ever played
People have tastes. I had taste for games like WoW... too bad it came out too late ::::20::

The way I see it is.....

yes they are power levelers....and they do not test out more then one char.

why play more then one char you say, well it gives you more aspects of the game, more to do, and gets your mind of your main character alittle so you don't get bored with him. I mean I been playing sorta on and off since release due to school, moving, sick, other games etc. and my main (now a lvl 42 orc warrior. 210 smithing 236 mining) any ways point is.....in my time i have made some good friends and had alot of fun, on;y time i get bored is when I have done SM cath instance like 2-3 times in a row since it takes like 45-60 min a run.

But if you find a good guild and play pretty balanced and not hardcore 6-8 hr days EVERYDAY, and mess around a bit I;m sure you can find some fun.

When you look at many of the other games out there, you had to be a certain level in order to start participating in the "fun." This lead to a mentality that you have to grind quickly, killing only monsters that lead to the greatest XP per hour so you can get to the max level ASAP.
WoW isn't designed for that. In WoW, a great deal of the fun is supposed to be in the journey to get to level 60. If you powergrind your way up to level 60, bypassing quests that don't give amazing loot or high amounts of XP, the game will get boring to you very fast. If you take your time to do the quests without looking everything up on thottbot first to see step by step instructions on how to finish the quest, if you explore the world, going into an area you've never been just because you've never been there, if you take the time to pick a couple of professions and level them up for a while, there's a ton of stuff to do. Once you hit level 15 or so, you'll have to be careful to juggle your quests so your quest book isn't full.
I'm having a great time in the game, and don't find it boring at all. I'm taking my time tho - I play 2-3 hours a night. I do the quests. I don't grind. If it's a quest I haven't done before, I try to figure it out myself - I don't spam general chat or use thottbot to get detailed directions on where to go.
So basically, it comes down to your playstyle. If you have a compelling urge to race to 60, you'll be disappointed when you get there. If you take your time, enjoy things along the way, and do quests even if they aren't optimum for XP per hour, you'll love the game.
No, it doesn't offer a lot of new or groundbreaking ideas. However, it does take the best ideas from many of the games out there and adds quite a bit of polish to them. I think it's well worth my money, but it also fits my style of gameplay, and I will be the first to say it's not for everyone. Hopefully I provided you with information to help make up your mind.

Eh?!  What's the difference in fighting or questing really slow or really fast?  You are still doing the same old same old that people are talking about.  They are saying that WoW is nothing new, and people are looking for something fresh.

I remember when EQ fun boys were spaming all forums about how EQ2 is great and WoW is another laggy boring game. errr. Guess what? You got owned losers. I'm currently level 60 priest so basically my everyday rutine is to find a raid group and go clean Molten Core or kill Onyxia for epic set items. If we already done with it couse these are on 7 days cooldown we are going to kill outdoor boss like Kazzak or Azuregos for the non-set epic items. and if they are dead already thats where pk comes in. :)))) if I would recomend an mmorpg game to someone where close to me it without a doubt will be WoW.
    boring? no
    fun? yes
yeah and I would recommend you to select rogue as your class. the most fun class in the game. but its your choice and I leave it to you but mark what I said. ;)

Sure is easy to amuse you.  Routine and pointless PvP sounds like a lot of fun. image

first my friend your fanboi second i have lvl60 troll on agamaggan pvp server, ive also played us close beta.

    WoW is very easy.

WoW is also fun if you know how.

    WoW is noway hardcore.

WoW community is unexperiance player base very annoying but you have to live with it.

WoW is absolutely not best mmorpg around its avarage but its like CS easy to learn fast pace(2weeks 60).

WoW if battle grounds come can be much fun with pvp.

WoW with raid bosses like i had yesterday with LORD KAZZAK im horde,  we go for it with 30 peeps all lvl60 but alliance also there whit 20 peeps and over and over try kill eachother lol it was realy fun pvp kazzak also kill us everytime lol.

WoW is what you make of it fun , bored or whatever.

I like by far darktide pvp superior to wow pvp hehe.

    My two cents:P
