Ask the developers to add the PS Move controls to the game. that may smooth out the controls for both PC and Console, to make the gameplay Interface as smooth as possible without limiting the PC side too much.

Okay I'm gonna call them!
Not sure how move would work with FFXIV. There's a whole lot of actions to be done, unless you want it to be Wii-esque and have people point a wand at the screen, in which case I'm sure they'd rather use a traditional controller.
Also, at this point in the game, I doubt SE is looking at adding to the PS3 version, just finishing it.
Lmao, yes please do it quick.
I'd prefer not too, the Move is just too much a gimmick and copy cat to be worth the purchase.
Which Final Fantasy Character Are You?
Final Fantasy 7
Here think of it like this.
one hand has the PS Move Wand controller for pointing, while the other hand has the analog stick and Controller keyboard of the regular controller. This would be the closes a natural PS3 Player could get to the PC controls without the need of a straight forwards Mouse/Keyboard.
IMO both parites get something out of this.

Move and Kinnect are both going to be short-lived novelties. Just like the ressurection of "3D" as a feature.

Just give me a hardware mouse .. prolly a lot easier
I think it would be cool if the PS3 version made players go out and buy a keyboard and mouse.
i think cool if people had brain
Believe me they are looking at it. They have been looking at 3d and options like this. There are numerous ways you can use this in an MMO from slashes to drawing runes that can be mapped to abilities or magic. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw this down the line.
Secret cause of delay?!?
But I don't own a PS3-nis...
I do own a 360 controller that works on my PS3 though. o_o
If any PS3 users wish to beat me to death now, I'd understand that feeling perfectly.
I hope you don't though. I like living.

Thats what the world needs, more time spent on stupid motion control games.
No.
3D will become the norm, it's a process now engaged and technologically viable (there was no tech to speak of back in the 80's and the first "3D" thingies, more like an eye trick for 3D pictures, and a good tech yet much too expensive in theaters). As of today one still needs glasses, but as we develop 3D screens without glasses (autostereoscopic or something), it will be a rush. By 2020, most screens (in stores, in the street, in public places, in living rooms even) will be 3D-compliant. So will be most of the movies, TV Shows and games produced. [btw: don't invest too much yet in 3D screens with glasses, all experts forecast that by 2015-2017 you won't need any]
Move will probably meet success in time, if good games are developed for it. However as a piece of tech, it's better than the Wii's Motion Plus system, it's perfectly viable. To Sony, Move isn't a "pre-order big-launch" kind of product, it's more like an accessory that will slowly, but steadily, become another form of "norm" for certain games. The gladiator thing on Move is, indeed, impressive. Weilding a virtual shield and virtual sword is just awesome a feeling. And it works great.
Finally, yeah I agree, Kinect is way too messy to succeed as it is today (doesn't work in shallow light, may detect people that aren't there, cannot be used for small movements such as the pulling of a trigger). Short story: it's too limited to appeal to core gamers; maybe families--if that were the kind of customer XBOX had, which clearly they don't (the XBox is the less "casual/family" of the three, the Wii of course reigns on that realm).
This was, of course, just an opinion.
Still personally hope 3D doesn't become the new staple. I really REALLY hate 3D.
Mostly because I can't see 3D (technically monocular) so all it does is mess up my viewing angles and occasionally give me a headache.
Interested in the Move and Kinetic, but not willing to invest until I've seen that things less gimmicky can be pulled off effectively finally.
IE open world traversing (no rails), fluid combat with ability to alternate attack sets (use of multiple weapons/swapping abilities, spells, etc), and effective range of interactivity options for the environment.
Until then I giddily await any new news that makes the dreams of virtual reality closer to a practical home.

The first problem is there are alot of people that can not see 3D for one reason or another so it will never replace everything.
The move will probably be popular, I don't know why people enjoy motion gaming so much I guess they like to look like idiots. I bought a Wii when it first came out I think it might have been used for 45mins, for me there is nothing better than a mouse and keyboard.
Yes the kinect for xbox is nothing more than a overpriced camera.
I want a new system that will alter my consciousness so that I experiance the game as if it was real life. ( Someone make this happen please)
Well if you dip into the realm of illegality...

In every McDonalds.
I am the type of person that would have been a really good soldier but because of health problems could not join, so experiancing COD or a game like hawx would be amazing for me, not to mention how incredibly fun running around in an mmo would be
That would be fine I never eat there anyways. I prefer food that tastes good
I agree there are still many issues with 3D, and I hope they can be resolved.
However as you somehow suggest, screens are already obsolete (!). Neural interfaces and VR ftw!
Still the PC version is going to be limited dew to PS3 restrictions. WIth the MOVE, many of these restrictions are reduced. (some still there, but vastly reduced)
