Vindictus: 3000 More Keys!

The first 2000 keys we got for the Vindictus beta did not make it through the night, so we have gotten another 3000 keys to give out to our fine community.  Get yours while you can!

    Whats the point of keys?  They are giving so many away, not to mention the key chain threads with people giving their friend keys away.  Pretty much any one can get in, so whats the point?  Does this somehow create buzz or something?  Making people jump through extra hoops to get a key to something which any one who wants one is going to get into.

    Doing it this way promotes a couple things. It shows you want into the game and are willing to try to get a key. It does promote some buzz since keys are in so demand right now. The final one is, its promoting the community. Since the keys chain there is thousands of people coming together and chaining keys. Most only see this as a problem, but it is making people come together for a game they highly want to play.

     

    Personally I like the way Nexon is handling this. Its alot more involved than just having a open beta and letting everyone in.

    NA-only btw. Briefly read their forums to look for info about the game only to find out IP ranged outside of NA are blocked. Their EU website only says 'comming soon'.

     Thats a shame if accurate . Normally mmorpg.com says if its NA only so I'll give it a try tomorrow . I really should look out of a decent American Proxy as well .

    Can any tell me what time it starts at can't find anything on website. Also is there a place to download the client before launch.

    So thats 7000 keys been given out that I know of (I am sure their are more), with each one with 2 buddy keys...

    So thats around 21,000+ people DLing and logging on to this games beta server tomorrow...?

    Will be interesting to see how smoothly this goes...

    If you try to download the client it will send you to the front gamesite front page with a pop up that says you have to download it on the 15th.  Not sure the time it starts

    Not if you choose the third option for manual download ;) - http://vindictus.nexon.net/Support/Client.aspx

    So.. 7000 keys through MMORPG, 1000 through Massively, im gonna guestimate at 2000+ for other sites, (+totalx2) for the buddy keys, 30000 keys going out!

    And yet NOT ONE OFFICIAL MENTION of the fact that EU players cant play (without a proxy).

    So lets cut that 30000 down to 15000 (yes US people, there are people outside!)

    Good game.
