Collector's Edition Head Start -- when do we get our key?

So I can't find anywhere where it says when we get our key for CE head start. Do we have to wait for the package to arrive? If so, that burns into our head start.
Anyone know if we get a pre-order key somewhere?

As far as I know, the key comes with the box we receive. My copy is scheduled to arrive September 22, so I should be able to play that day.
Yeah, the retailers show separate street dates for the CE boxes so it appears that they will be two completely separate releases with the CE preorders being picked up on the 22nd.

Probably inside the box. Amazon same day deliver is now only 99 cents so that will help.

On Amazon you have an option to have it rush delievered (not sure how it works?) so that you get your copy ON the 22nd, not shipped on the 22nd. If anyone has ordered from them make sure you edit your pre-order so you get it opening day, not 3-5 days later, which would be a waste of pre ordering the CE.

Amazon calls it Release Day Delivery and it's 99¢ for FFXIV to arrive at your house on the 22nd.

I will be waiting very impatiently on the 22 for my UPS man to visit me.
When I bought my copy, the guy at the desk pointed out that the release date of the collector's edition is 8 days prior prior to the release date of the standard edition. So there's your answer right there: you'll get your key to participate in the head start because you'll get your box 8 days early.
Amazon.ca doesn't have that option
Shameless plug here, but make sure you pre-order from Amazon, they offer the release day shipping for 99c!!!! Total there for me was 75.60ish, Gamestop charges overnight shipping costs to get it to you on release day, my total there was about 96ish bucks.
Amazon gets my nod of approval on that, seems all they do is ship it out cheaply about 4 days early to make sure you get it on time, gamestop probably ships it out that night. Pre-ordering from Amazon from now on.
So the collector's edition will be on store shelves 9/22/10?
or just for pre-orders(ie pick up)
Drop the next-gen marketing and people will argue if the game itself has merit.
One thing to watch out for (on Amazon) is that if you have ANY other items in cart besides the CE it won't offer you the Release Day shipping option. I had to empty my cart and add FFXIV by itself before the Release Day shipping option became available.
Bummer. I pre-ordered through Gamestop and just realized it say that it will ship on the 22nd. I paid for overnight shipping so in theory I'll have it late on the 23rd.
*grumble* They should ship on the 21nd....
Edit: After checking the order online gamestops asks that we allow one day for processing and 1 for transit....okay that sucks.
